    "Trout is a perfect example of the speed decrease (although his bat is so damned good, it more than makes up for it)." Trout is very young.. his speed wouldn't have decreased because of age, if in fact it did decrease, which i see no evidence of . Also players with speed that have had no injuries or excessive weight gain have maintained close to 90% of their speed into the mid thirties.

    If martin's not healthy ..navarro should be playing and give martin a rest and hope he recovers enough to play in a couple of weeks ..as he is now..he's hurting the team.

    ?????????????????????? You even know what your saying ..?? Josh has only played , like 4 -5 seasons , and this is his best year so far. Now if he stays healthy the next 8 years he could surpass what carter did. Not saying that carter is one of the greats.. but he was consistent and had a decent career..josh has a way to go yet.

    A little late reply, as I actually like watching the game in a pub with friends, rather than at home with a vacuum cleaner buzzing around me. But yes, Tex was reaching for the dead ball as it was rolling away, so he could hold up his glove with the ball in in, and hope to get the call. And he probably would've being at yankee stadium.

    "I hope the Rays beat the Jays and cost them a playoff spot" might be an opinion ----- That's not an opinion, it's a statement. I agree there's a double standard regarding who does and doesn't get away with virtually doing the same thing. I remember I used to criticize AA on his so called 5 year plan and Rogers for not spending money, and the fans who held such high value on prospects, even those that were 3-4 years from making the team . Each time I logged in, was thinking banned again? Mostly banned for having an alternate opinion. But that was the other board..this one is much more tolerant.

    I have to agree it wasn't the best place to have him come in being that he was just traded. There was absolutely no reason not to use sanchez or osuna..look at rivera , he'd be asked to close 4-5 days in a row . Use the guys that have been pitching well.Give Lowe time to get acclimated to his new surroundings. <--- isn't this what they are doing to Price..he was supposed to pitch a game earlier...and he's a veteran. Now if the jays had a 3-4 run lead ..and even then, a big maybe. It's not very often I disagree with you..usually your bang on.
