  1. I don't necessarily agree with trading those two, but how in the world do the Jays have an "excess" of MLB ready young controllable SP?
  2. Gibbons has never valued defense. When you put defensive players in a position to fail, on top of a mediocre pitching staff, it's not going to end well. That's on AA too for the roster construction. I'm just ready to move on from these clowns.
  3. Goins proving he can hurt you in so many more ways than just his bat.
  4. Come on, the Jays need this game with RA s***** tomorrow. Ugh.
  5. Robertson is real good. The Jays will need some of the BABIP magic the White Sox have this game.
  6. Come on guys, please score in the 10th and let Osuna finish it.
  7. With Edwin playing 1B, and ColabelLOL playing the outfield, they can't do that. Call up Pompey, please.
  8. What if you think Sanchez isn't very good (yet) AND Hutchison has been bad on the road? Is that better? Home: 2.39 FIP, 1.94 BB/9, 8.82 K/9, 0.35 HR/9, .284 BABIP Road: 5.32 FIP, 3.64 BB/9, 7.50 K/9, 1.71 HR/9, .416 BABIP (this is obviously unsustainable) I think it's fair to say he's been bad on the road. Really bad. Again, maybe that changes as the year goes on, but it's the all star break and he's still the same dude who can't get anyone out on the road.
  9. Giving up an out in the 5th inning against John Danks. Yeah, not agreeing with that.
  10. I agree that overall he's been fine (his home numbers are great) but he sucks on the road this season, and it's not flukey bad, it's clearly bad. Maybe it's something that normalizes as the year goes on, but it's shown no signs of improvement even against a s***** offense like the White Sox.
  11. If Hutch's road/home splits were remotely similar, I'd actually agree with the Gibby Lover, but the road #'s are worrying.
  12. Yes, because his 5.32 FIP on the road is exactly the same as his performance last season. Not a troublesome trend at all. I'd also suggest you look at Hutchison's numbers, especially in the 2nd half of last season, before you foolishly say he's just as good as he was last year.
  13. He needs to be sent down. Can't pitch on the road whether he's in a hitter's park or pitcher's park, or whether he's facing a good offense or bad one.
  14. If the game gets called right now, do they play a new game for a double header or continue this one at 3-0? If they play a new game, then f*** it, stall like crazy until the rain gets worse.
  15. I hope Hutchison is traded. Seriously. FIP my ass. When a guy can't pitch on the f***ing road, regardless of the team he's facing, it's ridiculous.
  16. Someone hypnotize Hutch and tell him he's at Rogers Centre right now.
  17. Left tricep tightness for Kazmir, apparently.
  18. AA apparently not a fan of adding a rental player. Other than Hamels, there isn't an ace available with multiple years of control left. I'm not sure there is a team willing to trade a good controllable starter in this market.
  19. That's what puzzles me. If Goins is on the team, why the heck is he not a late inning defensive replacement? What's his purpose otherwise?
  20. After over 20 years, you should know by now that the Jays would be lucky if those games even meant anything.
  21. Jays are 7-5 against Baltimore, 7-6 against Boston, 4-2 against New York, and 3-7 against Tampa. Other than Tampa, they've held their ground against the others. Unfortunately, the Jays have played .500 against everyone else too.
  22. Yeah, Dickey would have to be DFA or traded if he's going to be replaced. I have no problem with that. The trade happened, can't change it now. Just accept it as one of the worst trades ever and move on. Norris, even with his control issues, is still better than Dickey right now. Make the change sooner than later.
