    Nah, this front office kept Gibbons specifically to scapegoat him (at least I hope that was the reason because the guy wouldn't manage above Double-A anywhere else). If the Jays miss the playoffs or lose the WC game, then the hick who never should have been rehired in the first place will be sent packing. Much like last year, this team is going to have to win in spite of Gibbons.

    Yeah I think it's pretty much a lock that Sanchez pitches the wild card game unless they absolutely need to win Sunday's game. He's been the best starter on the team all season. Whatever happens, he's the guy you want on the mound next Tuesday. Happ would be fine too, but the way the rotation lines up, Sanchez would make more sense. Have the Dickster have his last start on Sunday before he rides off into the sunset. If that was his last start of the regular season last night, man, what a season he's had. I was a big Sanchez doubter, but he's been absolutely amazing since the start of spring training onwards. Huge transformation.

    We live in a world where the Jays will probably make the playoffs and Zeke will be starting in the outfield. Never imagined that prior to the season.

    My guess is Gibby's gonna ride Osuna until the Jays clinch, hopefully soon, and then he'll scale back until Tuesday. Hope it doesn't back fire.

    Let's be real, if Gibby brought in another reliever, he'd end up bringing Osuna in the minute a base runner got on anyway. Unavoidable.

    Doubts about what? Me defending the Jays? Lol. All I do is hype up the current front office every chance I get, but yeah, I'm a Yankees fan in disguise. You got me.

    Yeah, Headley is spot on. And that sucks because I'd rather be defending the Jays than the damn Yankees.

    If Donaldson was hit on purpose, then I'd understand. He was hit accidentally by a young pitcher who was probably aiming for the middle of the plate when he threw that pitch given how bad his control was. It happens. There was no need to protect your teammate in that case. I mentioned the Rangers because in their minds, they did the right thing by standing up for Dyson getting embarrassed by the Bat Flip, and Odor for standing up for himself when Bautista made a deliberately hard slide. You can't have it both ways. That's why I think baseball rules and old school thinking should be extinct. If somebody (whether it was Happ, Gibbons, or whoever) was willing to take that chance given where the Jays are in the standings and how much every win is worth right now, then you know old baseball unwritten BS has gotten out of hand.

    Or Happ could have realized that Donaldson hbp was an accident and focused on winning the game instead. Crazy, I know. Using the logic presented here, Bush and Odor should be praised for what they did, sticking up for their team and themselves. But of course, that won't be the case.

    Definitely Happ's fault. If he doesn't deliberately hit Headley, then none of this happens. I like Happ, but this is on him.

    Don't matter. Happ showed how big his dick is by defending Donaldson against an unintentional hbp. That's a true teammate who puts his team first. Can't wait until the baseball unwritten ******** is over with.

    Jays win the World Series. Fire Gibbons the next day. That's still my dream, and god dammit, I'm going to hope for it even if I know it won't happen.

    LOL, I didn't even realize Redneck Cito took Bautista out of the game for Carrera. What a downer.

    Yep. There is no originality with him. Let's waste two good relievers for a handful of pitches (Biagini and Cecil) and give a struggling reliever the 9th inning just because he's the "8th inning guy" and with the "9th inning guy" no available, you have to work backwards otherwise the universe will implode.

    If Donaldson was hit intentionally, then I'd understand. He wasn't. The Jays had everything to lose by retaliating for an unintentional HBP.

    Happ against the O's or Sanchez against the Tigers is probably what the Jays have in mind. Just a guess.

    What was the point of hitting Headley? Donaldson wasn't even hit intentionally, so there was no point in Happ getting revenge. The Yankees give zero f's now because they are out of it, they have nothing to lose.

    I'd rather face the team with the worse bullpen. The Jays offense can't hit any starter, whether Verlander, Fulmer, Tillman, or anyone else, but the starter for the Jays can probably keep it close. I want no part of Baltimore's pen in a one game series.
