    Villar is quickly becoming one of my least favorite players on the team, so naturally Montoyo thinks he's great.

    I was upset at Charlie for not pinch hitting, but now that I know "he had a feeling", it changes everything.

    Why not pinch hit Vlad with the bases loaded, rather than saving him for the 9th when most likely he'll be up with 1 out and 0 on? Could have used Panik in place of McGuire in the 9th. Buntoyo keeps thinking he's managing little league.

    Charlie has too much faith in Roark, and no faith in practically anyone not named Ryu.

    Walker does well yesterday, and is pulled immediately. Roark about to potentially lose the game right here and he's still in.

    Merryweather pitching 2+ to end this would be great.

    If Roark pitches as well as Dickey did from 2013-16, we'd be doing back flips. The Dickster was annoying as hell to watch, but he was an average innings eater who could have stretches when he's really good. My guess is Roark won't come anywhere near that.

    Well, Roark will have more value next season as over 162 games you need someone who can stay healthy and give you 5 innings, but he is not someone you want out there with 20+ games left and every game mattering.

    I never looked at the stats with Shaw, but the eye test alone shows how slow his bat speed is now. I know we s*** on Professional Panik, but in his last 48 plate appearances, he has a 108 wRC+ and 12.5 BB%. That's 68% of the plate appearances he's had this season. The fact that he'd be an upgrade at 3B is a scary damn thought but it's probably accurate at this point.

    Just add Austin Martin to the IF and Kirk at catcher, and I think we have a core right there assuming Hernandez is legit.

    Shaw was a decent bounce back candidate, but it's looking like 2019 was the beginning of the end, not an outlier. His bat looks slow as hell.

    I'd almost rather have Fisher up than Shaw here. That better be an easy non tender this winter.
