  1. Yunel Escobar? Give me a break...his leadoff #s were OK.. back when he was with the Blue Jays. He's a far cry from that now. And why are Sean Rodriguez and Logan Forsythe even on this team?
  2. Looks like another win for the Jays coming. Rays lineup looks pathetic, especially with Hanigan and Zobrist out, along with Guyer. Multiple below-average hitters in today's lineup.
  3. Sandy Alderson better be careful what he says. His job is already in danger, along with Terry Collins, considering the Mets just fired their hitting coach yesterday. Alderson and Riccardi(special assistant) are on the bubble as is, as the Mets organization is a mess.
  4. Update on Yordano Ventura: Jacob Huffman ‏@itzHuff 4m When Yordano Ventura threw his last pitch. Salvador Perez motioned to Ned Yost and pointed at his Elbow. Can't throw fire with out an elbow. Andy McCullough ‏@McCulloughStar 52s Yordano Ventura left with "lateral elbow discomfort." He will undergo an MRI tomorrow. Torn UCL I bet.
  5. To those people, including myself, who are going to see the Royals on Saturday, hoping to see young phenom Yordano Ventura, forget seeing him! Andy McCullough ‏@McCulloughStar Yordano Ventura departs the mound midway through the third with a trainer. Uh oh. Apparently it's an arm injury.. do I sense ANOTHER TJS?
  6. Ryu is 6 outs from a no-hitter.. this would be historic if this happens.
  7. Nice to hear the Rays broadcasters. Why can't we have them instead of Buck?
  8. Molina in because Hanigan injured himself on a play earlier in the game. Big blow for the Rays if Hanigan is out for an extended period, as Molina, despite his pitch framing, is terrible at the plate.
  9. Ugh, will someone please tell Sportsnet to stop airing these political ads? I'm sick of hearing anything Tim Hudak says.
  10. Yanks/Cards tied at 3. Claiborne blew Whitley's decent start, giving up 2 runs. It's been tied at 3 since.
  11. Credit Mother Nature for helping the Red Sox making that comeback, since the Braves brought in Ian Thomas to serve up 2 runs. Doesn't make things better, though. Farrell has no idea whether Buchholz will make his next start, after he walked 8.
  12. Get that bullpen warmed up Tampa.. Bedard isn't going to last long at this rate.
  13. 15,000-20,000 I expect. Nobody wants to see the Tampa Bay Rays.
  14. Likely he asked for a half-day off from playing the field. Plus, Pillar is in the lineup anyway, along with Gose.
  15. Some late tidbits: Guyer placed on 15-day DL. Colome up to give an extra arm to a VERY overworked Rays bullpen. Bautista now DHing, Pillar in RF.
  16. Bench clearing brawl in Tampa.. Escobar is ticking the Red Sox off.
  17. Yes, but we're a tougher team than the Red Sox. And we're facing a near washed-up Bedard tomorrow. Cobb and Archer could be tough, but Archer does have issues going deep into games..
  18. Boston's bullpen is melting down again.. Breslow gave up a 3-run shot to Sean Rodriguez, and the Rays now lead 6-3. Could it be a 10-game losing streak for Boston?
  19. Ok, maybe they're not cheap.. but they haven't managed their resources well. That Peavy deal from last season is starting to hurt, as he struggles badly. Mujica was an awful deal, and they have yet to negotiate an extension for Lester, raising the risk a team like the Yankees will poach him in the offseason, just like Ellsbury. Likely Boston will have to make some trades at the deadline to get help..
  20. First run given up by Pomeranz since he went into the rotation in Oakland.
  21. Boston had all the money available to bring Drew, Salty and Ellsbury back.. but Sox ownership is frigging cheap and bothered by the Adrian Gonzalez trade, considering the Dodgers won't bail them out again if they repeat the same mistakes of the 2011-2012 teams. The main problem Boston is failing is due to the fact many of their players had career years last year at the same time, and several pitchers, such as Peavy, Buchholz and Doubront have seriously regressed. Playing multiple rookies in the lineup (Bradley Jr., Bogaerts, and Middlebrooks) has hurt, as Bradley looks awful at the plate, and Bogaerts has had defensive issues at SS. Failing to find a decent leadoff man has hurt as well, as their offense has dropped.
  22. EPIC FAIL! Miller loses another one throwing the ball into CF. Red Sox have now lost 9 in a row.
  23. Likely David Ross. Napoli is unavailable.
  24. All Farrell has left is Alex Wilson in the pen. Otherwise, they may have to use a starter or put David Ross in to pitch(with Pierzynski to catch, losing the DH.)
