Jays win! 4.5 game lead now with the Yankees losing big in Oakland, as expected. -
Looks like a 4.5 game lead looming. Oakland is trouncing Vidal Nuno 6-0 after Coco Crisp hit a 3-run blast. And nice play by Tolleson there.

Thought I'd mention regarding the Yankees series, the offense of the Yankees is horrid this season.. they're 14th in the AL, and they've only been propped up by pitching (mostly Tanaka). But the Jays need to get this game today just in case.

Trout just gave the Angels a 3-run lead with a 2-run double. Here comes Shae Simmons..

Lights are fixed. Game is going to resume at the O.co.. Meanwhile, BJ Upton just misplayed a line drive and gave the Angels a 1-run lead.

Hale's having issues this inning. Bases loaded, no outs, and Johnny Mac hitting. Braves only have Shae Simmons left in the pen..but I'm not sure on availability.

And now CJ Wilson is PHing instead of Cowgill or Conger. WTF? Oh, and Colby Ramsus's bro will likely be coming in for the bottom of the 13th, as he's the last arm left unless they use Shoemaker or a position player (Cowgill?) in relief.

While we wait on the lights, the Atlanta/LA game is deep into extras.. 6-6 in the 12th because Ernesto Frieri absolutely was nuked (0.0 IP, 5H, 4ER), tying a winnable game for the Angels.

Boy, does Oakland ever need a new stadium.. the bank of lights in LF blew.

Yankees have played fewer games due to schedule and games to be made up. Not terribly concerned about the loss column. Oh, and the lights just blew at the O.co... they're in a delay while the lights come back on.

Never mind, Parrino got the A's out of the inning by getting a force at 3rd. Still, he could've avoiding letting the run score by throwing to 2nd instead of 1st, when he committed that error.

Darn Parrino.. who taught him to play SS? Russ Adams? That was a terrible throw. A's should've been out of the inning a few batters ago.

Good news for the Jays.. A's lead 2-0 after 2, as Sogard hit a 2-run single off a wild Hiroki Kuroda(he's thrown two balls over A's hitters heads tonight). Donaldson's still struggling.. who's going to break their slump first, EE or Donaldson?

IF they win. Kazmir's going for Oakland, so it'll be tough for the Yanks.

Exactly. And BTW, Oakland, another top team, is struggling as well. Josh Donaldson, like EE, is in a major slump (6-46 this month), although EE is 7-39 this month himself.

You know, Oakland is having similar problems as the Jays. Swap EE with Donaldson and both teams look very similar with their recent play. Both teams are in a slump right now. Oakland's lost 5 of their last 8, similar to the Jays(not including today). It isn't just the Jays having trouble. At least we can't blame the pitching for the problems. Let's just try to win tomorrow against Chris Tillman, who has been erratic the last few starts.

True. But Boston has been absolutely mediocre this season, and is tied with frigging Houston (5.0 GB) for the wild card, and is 9 back of the Jays. Their OF is one of the worst in baseball, and they are 13th in offense(and dropping.. Houston's only .03 runs per game behind them.)

Orioles will send out Gausman, Jimenez, Norris and Tillman. Maybe they'll help our offense break its slump.

With righties for the entire Orioles series and the Yankees series, no sense for Pillar to be here. Mastro can at least steal us a base, and he's done well in AAA, and he can play CF.

Well, Buck's right about the Twins SPs.. they don't walk anybody, but they need a good defense, as most of their pitchers are like Mark Buehrle, without the talent, with the exception of Hughes.

We need to get to Baltimore ASAP. Minnesota isn't actually that bad. Remember, this same team has already beaten the Yankees, Red Sox, Rays and Orioles this year. They also hit better since Danny Santana was called up and they signed Kendrys Morales. If the Twins had at least one more decent SP, they'd likely lead the AL Central. Another thing.. the AL East is garbage vs. the AL Central, with only the Blue Jays with a winning record vs. the Central, thanks to wins vs. Cleveland and Detroit.
