As I expected, the union is pissed about the Lebron/Wade/Bosh pay cut talk:

Makes it more difficult for the Heat to keep the big 3 together.
What would George do with his farm? Considering they mortgaged the future to get McCann/Ellsbury/Beltran (paying draft picks and money), I have a feeling Hank and Hal are planning to sell the farm just to hope they can catch the Jays and Orioles in the AL East.
Say goodbye to Gary Sanchez, their OF prospects, and possibly Dellin Betances in New York's system. I expect the Steinbrenners are going to get so desperate that they'll overpay for a starter and a bat by gutting the farm and trading Betances while his value is high.
Another setback for Sabathia:

Girardi said Sabathia is having another MRI on his knee after he experienced some swelling.
Looks like the Yanks may have to trade for a pitcher sooner or later.
ESPN thinks the only teams in MLB are in LA, Chicago, Boston, and other US big markets. They won't give Toronto a Sunday Night Baseball because Canada is ratings poison.
That's Ben Cherington's decision and the ownership's, not mine. He shouldn't be sent down.. but the guaranteed contract of Shane Victorino and his return by the All-Star Break, Wil Middlebrooks' return (although Bogaerts may be the one sent down for that) and Mike Carp returning and being out of options will likely mean Betts will be back in AAA. Only way he stays is if Boston trades some of its veterans.
Doubront served up a 2-run shot to Castillo. 8-3 Cubs. BTW, Workman was terrible. (4.0 IP, 5H, 6ER, 3BB, 3Ks) Maybe they should go back to Rubby De La Rosa, who was outpitching him?
