  1. Scott MacArthur ‏@TSNScottyMac 21m Tonight's PAID attendance: 10,125. Some didn't use their tickets. #BlueJays #MLB #Rays Gotta agree with Scott MacArthur there.. I'd swear the attendance is near Expos bad in tonight's game.. likely about less than half that announced attendance.
  2. And Detroit continues to struggle to hit.. still 2-1 bottom 7th.
  3. Agreed. Can we trade Buck and Pat for better announcers?
  4. Here's some Vines on Avila's concussion.. he's going to be gone a while. Tigers fans better get used to Holaday everyday (with James McCann backing up) https://vine.co/v/OuueejJrEtL
  5. Alex Avila hurt. Left the game after taking foul tips off the mask, and could be a potential concussion. This could be a major blow to the Tigers playoff hopes if he's out for a period of time.. Holaday is a huge downgrade from Avila, and James McCann is unproven.
  6. Cardinals are probably already thinking about another division title.. and possibly another shot at getting the World Series they lost last year to that fluky Red Sox team who got incredibly lucky last year.
  7. Torii Hunter kills another Tigers rally.. Indians still ahead 2-1. Important game.. a Indians win and the Jays could be 4.5 back.
  8. Gardner just got ejected in the Red Sox/Yankees game arguing balls and strikes.
  9. Cleveland still up 2-1, as the Tigers are struggling to hit with RISP tonight.. 9 hits and only 1 run!
  10. That was earlier in the season when he was first called up that I thought he needed more AAA seasoning. Thankfully, Boston actually did send him down to work on stuff.. and it's now showing in his 2nd go-around. BTW, 3-4 tonight with a solo HR. Good thing for roster expansion.. Yanks are likely going to use a lot of pitchers tonight.
  11. Of course, Escobar's been declining all season. -25.7 UZR.. it makes Reyes look like Zack Cozart, even though Reyes is also lousy.. but not as bad as Escobar.
  12. It's Geltz, not Getz, Pat... and he's coming in now after Hellickson just gave up a 3-run shot to Jose Reyes!
  13. Man, Escobar is terrible at SS... another infield single.
  14. Well, Yanks getting pounded 6-0. Indians lead 2-1.
  15. That was Bogaerts, not Betts. At least Betts got AAA seasoning.. and is probably their best option at CF until Castillo arrives, if he does.
  16. Carlos Santana with a HR of Kyle Lobstein, 2-0 Indians.
  17. Already has a hit and a run scored. WHY didn't Boston call him up sooner instead of leaving JBJ and his low average in the lineup everyday? Now if they could do the same with putting Betts at 3B (if he can play it), considering the arrival of Rusney Castillo, and dumping Middlebrooks.. who continues to hurt the team.
  18. Well, the Yanks playoff hopes are taking a major hit so far, as the Red Sox are pouncing on Shane Greene early on. 2-0 Boston.
  19. Definitely not QO worthy. At this point, even $10M/year might be optimistic for Rasmus, considering the baggage between St. Louis and Toronto. As for Cabrera, considering the camaraderie he has with Bautista and EE, good chance he returns, as long as the Jays pay up.
  20. Pretty much. Wasting money on Ellsbury when they have Gardner, not resigning Cano, not moving down/benching Jeter, signing McCann when they already had Cervelli, John Ryan Murphy, and Gary Sanchez in the system, signing an aging Beltran, and dangerously Scott Proctoring Dellin Betances (80 IP in 60 appearances.. makes me wonder if his arm will fall off, requiring TJS next season after such overuse.) Scott Proctoring: Overuse of an arm on the Yankees frequently, such as Scott Proctor in 2006, who was used 80 times for 102.1 IP by Joe Torre. He was never the same after that season.
  21. Good. And it seems like Rasmus is out the door.. they rarely play him now, as he's losing playing time to Pillar/Gose and possibly Pompey. And we really need to find a 2B/3B.
  22. 41 saves shows it, plus he's on a 1st place team, unlike Kimbrel, whose Atlanta Braves may miss the playoffs because of their offensive ineptitude.
  23. Or Buehrle. I can see Buehrle being dealt because of his expiring contract after 2015, especially if the Jays kick in some money.
  24. Most likely Buehrle gets traded. He's only got 1 year left and could be useful for other teams looking for a veteran starter who eats innings, preferably an NL team.
  25. AJ Jimenez is coming off injury. Jays don't want to take a risk on him. And they probably want to see if Kottaras can replace Thole as Dickey's personal catcher next season (unless Dickey is traded).
