    13-19 since the trade. Unless they straighten things out soon, a October without playoffs in Oakland is an increasing possibility, as they're on track for 87-88 wins(based on post-deadline pace), which will likely mean no playoffs if Detroit/KC, Seattle, Toronto or New York get hot. Also keep in mind we have 4 left with Seattle.

    I'd be more worried about the A's collapsing than the Mariners. The A's are only 3 out in the loss column and falling fast. And Houston just gave the Angels a hard time, winning both vs. the Angels. And also remember that the Tigers are after the division and can stop the Royals from making the playoffs, and the Royals still have to worry about the Indians, Twins and White Sox. And don't forget they have the Yanks and Red Sox on the way.

    And here's the 10,000+ people at the Rays game last night.. most of the fans are blue seats, because the Rays don't want to show a four-handle, because it'll get the 29 other owners to push to relocate the team sooner than when the lease expires:

    That's true. One advantage is that the Tigers/Royals/Indians have to play each other, the Royals still have the Yankees and Red Sox, and the Tigers have big series vs. the Royals and Giants next. As for the Mariners, they better figure out how to defeat Texas..as they are below .500 vs them, and won't have King Felix in the upcoming series. And Oakland is becoming a concern.. their implosion has dropped them to just 3 games up on the 2nd wild card. They're actually closer to the Mariners in the standings than the Angels.
