Live for today I guess.. the repercussions for the O's will hit next season, when they're scrambling to find a SS, RF and a DH on the free agent market when their big names get large offers from teams like the Yankees, Cubs, Dodgers, Angels, etc. Heck, on Baseball Central, they expect Hardy to sign with the Yankees, which wouldn't surprise me, due to their huge hole at SS after Jeter's retirement.
And don't expect the O's to find help on the farm.. Norfolk was terrible this year, and Bowie was mediocre, with nothing on the farm that will help replace their upcoming free agents. Basically, the O's are going to have to spend heavily, or risk spiraling back to mediocrity, similar to Boston this season.
