    Taylor Jordan if he's not used in relief. Remember, the Nats did not call up an extra arm due to Span's injury (they called up Matt Den Dekker for OF insurance.)

    At this point, nobody knows who or how many wins it's going to take to win the AL East, as everyone except the Yankees is at or below .500, and the Yanks are playing over their head.

    Between him and John Farrell, I don't know who's going to get fired first.. both of them deserve to be fired. We need a fresh manager.. whatever Gibbons is doing is not working.

    Don't bet on it. Span is out of the lineup, and Harper can't do everything.. this team was swept by the Reds over the weekend. And that rotation isn't actually that great outside of Scherzer. And Yunel is due for regression.. with a unsustainable .358 BABIP, he's due for a drop. Same for Bryce Harper and his .354 BABIP.. this isn't actually a good team, especially with Rendon, Span and Werth out of the lineup, and no Fister, Strasburg, and others.

    Gonzalez isn't pitching this series. Taylor Jordan is Wednesday's starter (if not needed in relief, otherwise it'd be some AAA scrub.)

    Trout hit a 3-run HR off Alex Colome to give the Angels a 4-1 lead. YOu can pretty much put a W on the Angels ledger.. no way the Rays come back against that.

    Matt West sent back to AA Tulsa, David Huff recalled. Dodgers are evaluating him the same way as the Jays... 40-man roster filler, and likely to be DFAd when LA purchases a pitcher from the minors to fill their beleaguered rotation the next injury.

    Nats lineup is no better. No Span, and Rendon still not close to a return, and Bryce Harper batting 3rd with a .228 hitting Zimmerman batting cleanup. Don't expect Harper to see anything to hit tonight.

    At least EE gets a day to clear his head.. and once we get back home, we can finally give Smoak and Collabello games at DH.
