  1. Crazy game in New York right now.. 8-7 Braves. Mets bullpen could be very taxed for the Jays series..
  2. Angels signed Blo-Blo Reyes, the former Blue Jay.
  3. Which means we likely see Copeland or Doubront(we have an open 40-man spot) Tuesday.
  4. Nick Cafardo's Sunday article... Phillies want Daniel Norris for Papelbon. Then give us Hamels too.. that's a terrible deal. http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2015/06/13/alex-rodriguez-has-met-and-exceeded-expectations/jdzIQFSICHxw9iyeiJ1fRL/story.html
  5. Former Blue Jays closer Sergio Santos is warming in the Yankees pen.. as former appliance store worker Chris Martin melts down in the 6th (that's what they said in the Fox broadcast.)
  6. Blame US fans and heavy stuffing of the ballot box by Royals fans.
  7. Holy Mason Williams! That was an unbelievable catch! Let's hope he's OK, though.. he hit the wall pretty hard.
  8. Twins absolutely thrashed by Joey Gallo and the Rangers. As a result, the Jays are now 1 back of the Twins and Rays, and 0.5 back of the Rangers. And of course, if the O's win, we'll be 1 back of the Yankees too (and the Rays too possibly if the Yanks lose, as the Rays will be tied for first.)
  9. And BTW, the Twins implosion (which was expected, as their pitching is flawed and their offense isn't that great, even if Buxton does anything after his callup..) has tightened everything in the wild card standings too.
  10. But they will gain ground on the Twins and Tigers, as they are both losing, and of course we have the Yanks game coming up... right now.
  11. Former Jay Sergio Santos called up by the Yankees to replace the recently outrighted Esmil Rogers.
  12. That's understandable that you think they're really tough, but neither Harvey or Syndergaard are impressing the New York media right now.. Thor's given up 11 runs in his last 2 starts (10IP) and has been quite hittable as the league adjusts, and Harvey has had poor command in his last few starts. Regardless, let's wait and see how the Jays plan for them..
  13. Position player pitching alert in Houston! Jesus Sucre of the Mariners pitching the bottom of the 8th.
  14. Unless the Jays actually come back in this game.. then it'll be just a 2 game deficit.
  15. Rough night for injuries. Altuve just left the Astros game with hamstring issues, Headley left with uh.. lower body injury, and you saw Betts.
  16. And he's done for the night. Looks like bad pitching nights aren't limited to the Jays..
  17. Red Sox must be close to giving up... look at tonight's lineup! No HanRam.. and a ton of automatic outs after Bogaerts, with the way the Sox hit these days.
  18. Wow, 5 aces! They must mean 5 dueces! The Red Sox definition of aces must be 4 pitchers with ERAs north of 5, Buchholz being very inconsistent and looking like a mid-rotation starter at best, and their best pitcher being just recently called up in Ed-Rod.. but will his success last? These "5 aces", along with the Castillo disaster and the HanRam/Sandoval signings, are going to cost Farrell and Cherington their jobs by the All-Star break. If they get swept vs. Toronto this weekend, I expect some firings, as the Sox would be 10 games below .500.
  19. Even though they aren't winning the trade either, the Yankees must've known something about Greene.. so far, the D-Backs are the only winner so far, with Robbie Ray pitching well for Arizona.
  20. Yes, like the Jays have issues with the bullpen and LF defense? I'm sure AA realizes this..
  21. Apparently, the Rays can't afford good pitch framing catchers financially and on the 25-man--Bobby Wilson DFAd because Cash keeps blowing out his bullpen. Elmore the emergency C tonight. Belatti to DL, Guilmet to AAA, CJ Ref. up, Matt Andriese up, Enny Romero up.. and the White Sox coming in. Bet the Jays will be ahead of the Rays in the standings soon.
  22. It means the Jays have a better chance at a division title or wild card, especially now that we're above .500.
  23. Preston Guilmet sighting! 1IP, 2H, 2K.
  24. 10,779 tonight for the Rays/Angels game. Not even Paula Abdul can bring fans in. What's it gonna take to bring fans in??
  25. 3.9 BB/9IP and a low BABIP of .204. Regression is coming.. he's not maintaining his sub 1 ERA forever.
