    Defensively, could Tatis handle third base? I know the Padres moved him to the outfield because of Xander, but if they're seriously looking to move $ off the books, he'd look real nice in a Jays uniform.

    If Hicks records the final out in the ALCS or WS, are any of you going to give a flying 'bleep' about what we gave up? I'm sure as hell not. Thirty years without a title, or even an appearance in the world series, is a long, damn time.

    This. Grew up hating the Tigers starting when we finished a very distant second place to them in '84. That last week of the '87 season was the worst week of baseball in my life. Watching that last game of the season when Key threw an absolute gem, the only run being that Gibson homer, and losing 1-0, I could have thrown my parents TV out the window I was so mad. Even with them being in the Central Division almost 30 years now, I still dislike them more than the Yanks, Rays, or Orioles (I'll always hate the Red Sox more than anyone).

    I remember being in junior high and all my Red Sox fan classmates punching me because they thought my team was going to win a world series before theirs. Of course, they did (in'92) but I was in college by then.

    20 team dynasty where saves are a category but holds aren't. I'm nearing the end of my rebuild and finally thinking about RP, so all of my relievers are purely speculative (traded the three closers I'd inherited years back for draft picks). Besides Munoz, who I've held the past couple years during his TJ recovery, any of these other four guys have a future as a closer in your opinion: Burke (Texas) Puk (Oakland) Bautista (Baltimore) Lange (Detroit)

    20 team dynasty. I've held the #1 waiver spot for the past three seasons (it rolls over instead of resetting) waiting for the perfect add. The only time I was tempted before now was Deivi Garcia a couple years ago, but now Asa Lacy has been cut. Was last year just an enigma or did the Royals waste the #4 pick on a RP?

    John Mayberry, Roy Lee Jackson, Jim Clancy, Alfredo Griffin that would have been my eight year old version's list from when I started watching Delgado, Halladay, Stieb, Tony F difficult to leave Bautista and Alomar off, not to mention Carter I know he's not considered a great player by today's WAR standards, but that HR is easily one of the five happiest moments of my life

    The players who weren't rostered at the end of the season are also available to select. This new guy selected Bobby Bradley because he needed a 1B.

    I have the second pick of the new player draft (18 team dynasty) and both Mayer and Leiter are still available (the guy with the first pick went non-prospect). My SS depth chart is Tatis, Luciano, and Austin Martin while my SP isn't where I'd like it to be, but I'm leaning Mayer strictly as a trade asset. Thoughts?

    18 team h2h dynasty - my team includes Vlad, Tatis Jr, Acuna, Eloy, Torkelson, so I'm ready to compete now Last two spots on my roster comes down to Corey Kluber, JJ Bleday, Ryan Weathers, and Genesis Cabrera. The only reason Cabrera is on this list is I've only kept two RP (Hader and Romano), but I spent a first round pick a couple years back on Bleday (passing on Riley Greene), and I'd hated to compound that error by leaving him unprotected and having him breakout for someone else. Kluber vs Weathers three years from now is a no brainer, but I'm afraid I'll be attempting to trade for a Kluber at the deadline if I keep Weathers over him.

    Red Sox and it's not even close. If it was a race, they'd be crossing the finish line as everyone else was leaving the starting gate. The fans, that outhouse of a ballpark complete with the stench of urine. Honorable mention to the Tigers ('87) and Royals ('85 and '15)

    Ohtani (pitching version) for Martin in an 18 team dynasty? Obviously, the homer in me wants him, but is that too steep of a price?
