  1. Wuck? Why does that f***ing team get a competitive balance pick?
  2. Boy, that's true. I don't even recall hearing his name in the trade, honestly.
  3. I think Rogers has a handful of feel-good pieces they can release after devastating and demoralizing losses like last night.
  4. The lack of compensation A and B picks will start hurting Tampa sooner than later. I think those picks have kept the Rays afloat for a while.
  5. You should set the rules for all of us to post by so we don't offend. Start a new thread, but make it as emotionally devoid as possible.
  6. That should have been done days ago. Kratz and Thole right now would be totally ok. Is Navarro's bat that good coming off the bench and PH while he's hobbled? I Get that he's a switch hitter, but I don't think so?
  7. I agree totally. It's good management within the restrictions he has on the bench. It'd be kind of cool if at some point they have Santos in to pitch with a lefty coming up to bat they move Santos to 2B for the hitter letting Cecil work his magic, then putting him back in to pitch to the next rightie. Entertaining as hell.
  8. That's a whole lot of hate. lol. Douchelord, I will have to use that sometime.
  9. Me too. I think he'll have at least three more starts. Maybe we can use Kickstarter and raise funds for an assassin to take care of the issue.
  10. Stop. Just stop it. You're like the nagging spouse who can't help but rub our noses in it every chance you get. We all get it, that trade sucked dirty ass. Now move on, please. Think of the children.
  11. Yeah, that makes sense. Maybe his splits will improve with playing time. Anyway, I think that's the plan with him. I think at some point we'll have to go with a 7-man 'pen. having a guy like this off the bench as a PH would be stellar.
  12. I think they want him to play everyday. I'll be honest. It'd be awesome if he could play 2B lol
  13. This year is a SSS and an outlier so far...just begging to be regressed. it'll be interesting to see what they do with Lawrie. I wouldn't doubt they just throw Brett at 2B to get Juan's bat in the lineup everyday. Or they trade Lind, less likely.
  14. Wow, those bats as a collective are starting to spark it up. Reyes seems like the only guy lost out there. Weird. So a FULL season of Francisco, how do you think he'll do "regression to the mean" factored in?
  15. Awwww, I think it's cute...said no one with a vag, ever.
  16. I'm weirdly relieved Morrow is out of the picture. It may open the door to Stroman and maybe another prospect this season. Morrow may pull a Chris Carpenter and come on strong when he's older, but right now his stats truly reflect who he is, an enigma with a million dollar arm who can't put it together.
  17. I'm a cup half full kind of gal. I don't think everything has to regress like your hairline.
  18. Or progression to the mean. We don't know what the mean is.
  19. If you see the Jays win every third game, you should get your wish before the trade deadline. Which is sort of too bad, because he's super likeable and very reliable...like maybe one of the more reliable pitchers in history
  20. Hah - awesome! JPA got a dinger yesterday...wow, he's heating up ;P
  21. This is such a tough questions. I was firmly in the camp to send JJ a qualifying offer, thinking his arm troubles were over. Wow, glad we didn't. Food for thought. So, if I'm correct it would cost $9M more to keep him, because the buyout is $1M? That's way less than the QO offer would have been to JJ, and at least Morrow has strong ties to the club. Boy, there's like a 75% chance he'll get hurt again for an extended period next year. So, 75% chance that $9M is a throwaway. But, like always, if he's healthy, he's worth ~ $18M AAV. And at the very least, assuming the MLB collective agreement doesn't change, even if next year's his last, assuming he does well, we could still QO him and maybe get a 1st rounder. So, $9M more wasted or for a really solid pitcher who might net us a 1st round draft pick after the season. I say pick him up for the extra $9M.
  22. So, anyway, lack of observational skills aside, how about that Liam?
  23. Right, just found it after King lol-ed Doh! Can a mod mod me please and thank you
