  1. Because a premium starter helps you get to the playoffs. We've had quite a drought.
  2. He's hit 96 mph once or twice. Can anyone explain his increased velo?
  3. Gibbons said Saturday he's playing. Hopefully as soon as Colabello cools off Pompey will be back too.
  4. Pouring over a boxscore in the morning after a Jays win the night before is one of the fave things to do in the world.
  5. Deadpool is right about all of this.
  6. Post that Gif, otherwise it never happened.
  7. The Jays should grab Phil Coke.
  8. He's moving back to long relief.
  9. I think he has two options.
  10. Just when I thought I couldn't like JD anymore than I do he goes and does this. #awesome
  11. And Stroman is a 3-4 WAR pitcher? So we lose between 1-3 WAR with the injury. That could be the wildcard right there.
  12. No thank you. Estrada's numbers are better in relief. He stays in 'pen. Norris and Sanchez start. Or we trade for Hamels and raid the farm. I don't want that.
  13. ~ 50% GB? Isn't that uber elite? What's good, 30%?
  14. He'd be the perfect back up to Martin. And for $4.5M less than Navarro.
  15. I would, if he hadn't cut that gorgeous mane of his.
  16. This screams unemployed 140 pound 24-year old living in his mom's basement, just saying
  17. I love Gardenhire. If AA could get him onboard, I'd be okay with letting Gibby go.
  18. Yeah, I agree, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's brought back on a 2-3 year deal AAV $2.5M.
  19. Anyone can be traded. It's just a matter of how much salary is eaten.
  20. I would keep Dickey and exercise his 2016 option, too. MB I would trade in a heart beat. I don't think anyone takes him, though.
  21. Good point. But how much service time would he need to accrue in the majors to get full pension? I know IIRC in the NFL it's three seasons for a lifetime of pension. Thames must be close to getting the required service MLB time in... Just a thought. But if I'm a team on the cheap I totally take a chance on him.
  22. If his fielding has been close to average I don't see why a MLB club wouldn't take a flyer on him for next year. Could be a cheap way to get some offense. He's sort of an A's type of reclamation project. Hmmm, with Cespedas gone....
  23. I know, right? Gose could be a serviceable 4th OF in this case. Or Pillar if, when recalled in Sept, hits even close like he has in AAA.
  24. Hot chick, but a little short.
  25. I think that will happen almost for sure, a 15-day stint, or maybe they space his starts out to every 6th start. When was the last time he pitched this much prior to his TJ surgery?
