  1. It was pretty amazing that he and Valencia, two pickups prior to the trade deadline, we're factors in the win against the Astros, and super timely for GM_AA after the bashing he took from some of the media and some of the Blue Jays. If Hutch is having issues, and I wonder if he won't get shut down after another bad start, it would have been nice to throw Rogers out there a couple of times as an emergency starter. f***ing Yankees. Would they call up a Nolin to spot start if Hutch continues to look the shits, or would the demote Hutch to bullpen and just make Redmond the starter?
  2. I can see Morrow replacing Hutch in the rotation soon. I think Hutch is hurt or really tired or something.
  3. It's a big series. It'd be hard for even the more hardcore Jays fan to believe the post season is possible if they can't beat the Yanks at home.
  4. Is that stat, 88% of balls hit in the air are dingers, for real??? If so, that's got to be historic.
  5. I really like the Great Western Original 16 line, especially the Copper
  6. Well played. Okay. Is everything hit in the air off Dickey a f***ing home run?
  7. For f***'s sake. I go to grab a Corona, turn around and it's 3-0? Are any pop flies hit off Dickey not home runs?
  8. A bid that wins is a proper bid. That blows away the opposition. Tanaka? Maybe not. But they should have been balls in with Darvish. Yu can't say something diff.
  9. Relax. There is no way in hell the Jays will pick this guy up. No way in hell. It took ten Jays scouts months of scouting not to put a proper bid in for Tanaka. One scout for an expensive pitcher means they're probably just officially ruling him out.
  10. So, when do Reimbold and EE come off the DL? Lind? Exactly? If we pick up Headley and get those guys back, that's a solid lineup down the stretch. It'd be so nice to win 2-3 series before the...
  11. I think it was a brilliant play! How can getting on base ever be bad? It's unusual to see an extreme shift against a quick runner, so yeah, I'd love to see Colby try this a lot when appropiate.
  12. This is the most retarded thing I have ever heard. Rasmus takes advantage of the shift to get on base and Colby tees off? f***ing moron. Getting on base is NEVER a bad thing.
  13. It's soooooo easy to criticize. What do you think we'd get for those players? I think his synposis is solid.
  14. There are so many things that can be done that are really risky. Trade for some good players and absolutely pillage our farm system. Blow it up and get some really good prospects, MLB-ready prospects, to set up what may (or may not) be a sustained run at success. Or tinker with what we have now and hope for the best. I see benefits to all three models, and all come with risk. Scary risk. But I'd take the tinker option first, then blow it up option second, and I would simply not rape our farm. So, to tinker, I want a guy like Prado or Headley, just to get us through the rest of the season, and for sure fill a little gap until EE, Lind and Lawrie come back in August. If that means trading a couple B prospects, fine. Otherwise, we don't win again in July and by the time were sort of healthy we're 14 games back. To Rasmus and Cabrera, I think AA gives both QO, but we'll know closer to October of course. Rasmus will get white hot at some point. Cabrera has been solid on a team that has s*** for OF prospects on the farm. I hate Pillar, and Gose, well, I'm not convinced. So I think we roll the dice and hope we keep Melky and Rasmus gives us a draft pick.
  15. I hope someone shoots an arrow into his pitching arm. For the irony.
  16. That's exactly what I feel when any Yank gets hurt. I'm glad I'm not the only heartless soul. I hope we don't go to hell.
  17. Oh for sure, I'd be okay with a QO. And honestly, after what happened this year to so many QOed position player, I think he takes that $15M, or whatever it turns out to be for next year.
  18. I wish he wasn't playing to be honest, for this very reason. I don't give a s*** if any Jays are represented. Team needs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all start stuff
  19. I guess I'm thinking of a sign-and-trade scenario. Get a home town discount, if possible, but then trade him when/if the time is right or we can't fit him on the roster. But I don't see another viable LF option right now who's MLB ready, and Melky IS an all star. EE and Lind can continue to platoon 1B/DH. And we trade for a 3B or 2B who doesn't die vs splits and Bob's your uncle.
  20. They sucked in 2012, won in 2013, and suck now. That's three seasons of serious swinging.
  21. Yep, with some 98's and 97's. He was dealing and unleashing. What a difference from a knuckleballer pitcher. It was such a good idea for the Angels to bat Freese when they did, he wasn't messed up from the knucklers and it paid off with a rip off of McG.
