  1. He's injured, most likely that's the reason for his struggles, so a change of scenery is not likely going to improve his offense. Chase Headley may be an upgrade but he's one of the worst possible upgrades you could pick from (for this year in particular). I love him for next year because most likely he recuperates and bounces back but this year it's just not good.
  2. 1) Don't care what you think 2) Not here to garner any any particular reputation
  3. Still seems really bad but I haven't seen him play. How's his defense at least?
  4. No. Not asking how bad the contract was at the time of signing. That's not the point of this. What's the point of you though?
  5. Why do you use your alt account Pinkfloid to Thank your own posts? Also why do you type so much, nobody wants to read all this junk.
  6. How about Uggla - now providing negative WAR
  7. Yeah... though he's shown some signs of coming out of the funk, it does seem awfully bad.
  8. No wonder BTS is back posting frequently
  9. I was going to make this about Blue Jays past and present but changed my mind and made it about active contracts in the majors.
  10. It shakes things up from the regular season
  11. If the plan is to compete this year (and it should be), picking up a guy on a huge decline with an injured back, is literally the dumbest.
  12. Chase Headley. ROFL. That would be the dumbest.
  13. Man, Oakland just looks so solid everywhere... and they don't under-value pitching and defense like many other teams (*COUGH* BLUE JAYS *COUGH*)
  14. Good god, Ricky looks bad, not just because he's injured. Looks like he's about to jump off a cliff, like these guys are there as an intervention.
  15. I like it, in general...
  16. I'm impressed that people aren't picking Gibbons, that would of been the dumbest.
  17. "The first baseman competed in five contests in Cuba and found that they typically hurt his swing." "It messes with my mind. I never go to the plate trying to hit home runs. It's something that I'm blessed with and it happens, but I never go trying to hit home runs, so I feel like when I have gone to these things, it has been not beneficial to me afterward." - Abreu
  18. It's pretty clear many hitters also believe it will mess up their swing (Trout out, Abreu out). On the other hand, let's put Ben Revere and Altuve in and maybe they'll hit more, since it would be impossible to hit less.
  19. Congrats to Edwin, was worried he wouldn't make it in.
  20. This makes no sense, I don't even know why this thread was made. All around dumb.
  21. Chase Headley is playing injured. A change of scenery isn't going to magically repair his back and make him play better - FFS. If Jays are really pursuing him for this year they are dumb as f***.
  22. Slowly realism starts to creep into the board and weed out the stubborn homers. Took long enough, didn't it?
  23. I knew the Jays wouldn't be able to score one more run.
