    Do you really think this team is capable of sustaining a +33 run differential for the rest of the season (which would put them at about +63 by seasons end)? I say not without significant upgrades. Do you not agree that this is basically a .500 ball club (and there's still a chance we could win the division with that)?

    That may be so but it doesn't mean May wasn't anomalous (which it was). I'm hoping they turn it around more than anybody, the division is not going to get any weaker. I hope when Lawrie comes back they can stay healthy and go on another run.

    It's like the opposite of the "Alex Rios Effect" - you look like you're moving slowly because of the long legs, really you're moving quite fast. Short players look like they're moving faster than they are, especially on TV when you don't have as much perspective. Alex Rios is 240-76 career in SB but nobody pegs him as a "speedster".
