  1. If A-Rod wasn't a Yankee, a lifetime ban wouldn't even be considered. No doubt, the MLB would love to clear that contract off their favorite team's books.
  2. I seriously despise the fluke-ass Red Sox.
  3. Hell no. Organizations that want to win don't do the kind of franchise-crippling, farm-depleting panic trades that AA made last offseason. Instead, they patiently build through the farm and only add impact pieces from trades or free agency when they have developed a core to build around at the MLB level. The Jays' focus is selling tickets and merchandise to dumbass casuals who think "dingers" are everything and JPA is a good player. And when you run your franchise completely based on optics and casual fans' opinions, teams and seasons like these are the end result.
  4. Attendance isn't even that great this year. It hasn't been as abysmal as it used to be, but now it's just average, and the seats aren't even close to being filled. It's going to plummet next year though unless AA admits defeat and rebuilds. Also, TV ratings are down from last year - can't imagine those bouncing back until the front office pulls their heads out of their asses and does what needs to be done. There's an old adage in sports: "if you can't sell wins, sell hope." Well, the Jays can't really sell wins this offseason, and this current roster and farm system is hopeless, so unless AA blows up the team, they'll learn this lesson the hard way next year.
  5. JPA's entire career is more embarrassing than that.
  6. The Jays will never win another championship until Rogers sells the team to an owner who cares.
  7. How am I contradicting myself? It's one thing for a winning team making a playoff push to add veteran help at the deadline - it's a whole other thing for a horrendous last place team like the Jays to essentially shuffle deck chairs on the Titanic. I would have been thrilled if AA moved Bautista and the bullpen for prospects. Those were the kind of deals we needed to make. Chasing after Howie freaking Kendrick and then just giving up and standing pat was a complete waste of time and ensures that this franchise will remain mired in s*** for the foreseeable future. You're so drunk off the Rogers/Beeston/AA KoolAid that your arguments don't make sense.
  8. LOL, and people actually tried to convince me that Gibbons is a good manager and deserves no blame at all for this season.
  9. Bautista is declining and old. Sooner or later, teams will catch on to this and his trade value will plummet. Worrying about what dumbass casual fans think is no way to run a team. This team's casual fans honestly think JPA is a top 5 catcher in baseball because he hits dingers sometimes and plays for the home team - that just says it all. You think Friedman or Billy Beane give a s*** about casuals' ignorant opinions?
  10. Then why did he do the Marlins and Dickey trades? Those made the ballclub WORSE.
  11. Honestly couldn't be any more apathetic about this piece of s*** team right now, hope they lose out and make AA look like the dumbass he truly is.
  12. AA's lying out his ass. Complete ******** and he knows it. He just didn't want to admit he screwed up and start the rebuild. PATHETIC.
  13. The rest of our division had no problems getting deals done. We had an excellent trade chip in Bautista which has now been wasted. We had plenty of tradeable assets in the bullpen. There's no spinning this: AA f***ed up. Badly. End of story.
  14. A trained monkey could run the Jays better than AA.
  15. Just because we saw it coming doesn't mean we have to be happy about it and just accept it. AA is trash, Beeston is trash, and they're killing this franchise with every dumb decision they make.
  16. http://31.media.tumblr.com/887f6f76a9659029db31aec9dcd2c964/tumblr_mqh7tlnXgp1qe5ugfo2_500.gif
  17. This is the same clown who IIRC was downplaying the winning streak and trying to predict its end while it was in progress. Of course he's going to s*** on all our players right before the deadline. It's not hard to see why nobody wants to play for him (as evident from how he's literally been in fistfights with our players before).
  18. Janssen for Castellanos, get it done AA!
  19. Either it actually is a smokescreen or AA must go NOW. He is delusional if he thinks this team is winning anything next year.
  20. Not really confusing - if AA doesn't even try to sell, it becomes crystal clear that he's just a sub-mediocre GM still living off the Wells trade.
  21. BTW, I don't even care about steroids - I just want Ortiz to be suspended because I love it when Boston fans cry.
  22. I can understand not dealing Encarnacion, but not dealing Bautista would be stupid, especially if Profar is on the table.
  23. Don't they want "major league starting pitching" in exchange for Kendrick?
