  1. Vladdy. Buy that man a beer. Way to go Jano! Nice battle. Ugly W but we will take it!
  2. FFS Vlad. Honest to f***. 1 run down in the 9th. Bust your ass to 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Hell of a Silver Fox outing. No way we should still be trailing in this game. Jesus. Lets get greedy and sweep.
  4. The numbers say so for what they are worth. Before today 53rd percentile OAA. Maybe he looks better because we all still have PTSD from Vlad and Biggio preceding him at 3B.
  5. Richards is a freak 15K/9, 6BB/9 An ERA over 5 and a FIP over 4. Crazy whiff % That cartoon change wipes guys out
  6. Steady diet of breaking balls to Springer. Wish he was a little better at just slapping the ball to RF.
  7. Chavez. Drafted 42nd round. 12 years MLB service and $24M career earnings - not bad for a journeyman pen righty for most of his career.
  8. Not good Bo. Kind of makes the “it’s the little things” and “attention to detail” memes
  9. Big pen day coming. Kooch at 65 pitches through 3. Shame on that E. Still a tight game boys.
  10. So much risk. Not that I want don't want to have Bo or Vlad long term (Chappy will be here all his walk year unless we fall out early which is unlikely). If we can sign Bo/Vlad for Franco/Riley ish money it makes some sense, but if not, you have to wonder if $600-700M could be spent elsewhere better. FO will determine next year probably trade for value; push signing hard; or play them out and let walk (most likely). Just my view, but I think they are all going to test free agency. The Astros and Rays have done a great job letting some core pieces move on, while still building a sustainable winner. So have the BoSox.
  11. Ya. That was a bad bad 2 strike pitch to a LHH.
  12. I get these extended long term deals lower the AAV and the NPV cost of the deal, but they still leave a big mark when it comes to future decision making flexibility around payroll and roster construction. At some point the pipers all got to be paid. I cringe over the sugar high DET and LAA got signing Cabrera and Pujols to those long term deals back in the day. Unless they are relatively team friendly like AA has pulled off, I think there are some solid reasons orgs like the 'Stros let Springer, Correa, Cole and Verlander etc move on.
  13. Yandy Diaz 185 wRC+ and 2 WAR on a 3/24. 4 War season '22. Got to love those value signings.
  14. Thanks for the update there Chief Troll & Atkins fluffer. We appreciate it!
  15. Stros let go Verlander, Cole, Correa and Springer and still getting it done. Altuve is coming back. If he is close to last season that helps. I think they will go on a run before long.
  16. PITT 1-9 the last 10 coming back down to earth. We probably need an AL EAST thread on its on. .550 is the worst winning %. Insane. Orioles just won't stop winning. Mullins hits for cycle. Yanks keeping their heads above water, decimated by injuries. Got to tip your cap.
  17. LGJ rocking a 135 wRC+ and already has as many bombs as he had all of 2022.
  18. It’s a miracle!
  19. Lol. You are too predictable.
  20. Wow. Funny thing. I like this team, our Manager and everyone on our Board a lot more when we WIN! Lol. Great outing Bassitt Hound. Springer comes through.
  21. Let the man finish. Old time baseball!
  22. Yates. The $5M lottery ticket we never saw. Back at it.
  23. What a f***ing awesome start. Good job to give him the 8th.
  24. That’s the danger with a guy who thinks he can hit almost anything, and almost can. Just not that one.
  25. Kirk huge throw.
