    Cause its not like its hard enough to hit Tanaka...the ump has to give him 6-8 inches low?! unhittable. Lets hope Stroman gets the same calls with his FB and breaking stuff ....

    I didn't. I said "help" and that doesn't mean on their own. They had a lot of talent. He and Kipper and a few others weren't able to put them over the top or even close after 04 run. IMO he bares some responsibility for that as C - and highest paid player. I don't think Im alone in that view.

    Listened to same kind of thing in Calgary with Iggy. Poor poor Iggy and his $8mm per. At some point the franchise player is supposed to help make the team win aren't they?

    There is some Ellis. Gun! Was never the same after the beaning. Mondesi also has a really good arm. We have had a few good arms in RF. Green - Jose - Barfield.

    Gose's numbers have been trending down...and his K's lately are concerning, but he is hanging in with a .350 OBP. When he came up if we thought he would have that after 32 gms and 100 PAs we would all be pretty thrilled.

    Been tempted to bump some old threads on the Board about Armageddon due to AA failing to sign Jiminez, Garza or Santana. They seem pretty funny in hindsight. Somehow they don't seem so essential now. Still think we need to add another serious SP though.

    Assume people aren't 2 on here. No matter how many posts someone has if they write silly reactionary troll "ish" stuff it should be ok to call it out. People don't have to agree.

    Thanks for the piety and contrition...I'm no moderator but we'll see. People seem to be pretty solid at sniffing out trolls on this board which is why its better than the old one.

    Losing sucks but cant we just enjoy being in 1st place one game at a time? The best thing about baseball is almost always they go right back at it tomorrow. Maybe tonight the Dominicans rub some chicken blood on their bats and we put up 10. (actually that's more of a Haitian thing but same island-whatever)

    I hate losing every game it happens, but I know in 162 games even the best teams lose 72 times (ish) so some fans need to get real and get off the chicken little ledge. The last thing on this team I'm worried about is offense. SP, pen and D are ahead of Offense in any concerns I have. All teams scuffle especially after a long sustained blitzkrieg pulled off against some of the best teams in MLB. Did people expect Juan to have a 1.000 OPS for the whole season? Was EE going to 115 Home runs? Would Gose have a .400 OBP? Win tomorrow!

    Man...talk about eating our young on here.... during the win streak everything went right...now the opposite is happening. We hit some balls hard right at people that werent falling for us and Gose/Juan are regressing to the mean. That's baseball. the boys can still come back tomorrow and tie the series.

    Man....the vitriol on here! RA has given up 2 earned runs through 5 We are only down by 2 runs. Juan is Juan....Gose is Gose. What did we expect?

    No..its true..I was just joking. But we got hammered in qualifying when it mattered most. We only ever qualified for world cup once and never scored a goal.
