  1. cmon RA...last guy you want to BB is Bradley Jr.
  2. Head shaker. He had a great series in Fenway but c'mon Go Jays!
  3. That sounds about right for BB. Pompey could use a change of scenery(I'm not happy with how he was handled) and both are cheap and raw with lots of upside. We know what Reddick is and what we would be getting.
  4. Don't trust Strasburg health and we move a big piece(s). Hamels(if he waives) would be expensive on two fronts, but he has 3 more years (90 starts?) and the deal is moveable if need be as long as he pitches somewhere near his career numbers.
  5. Our old farm hand Jesse Chavez is currently 20th on that list. Is Chavez > than Hamels value wise? To be fair, there is a arguable case to be made that we only need to add a mid rotation SP with this O. It would be enough and cost us less.
  6. not that. he texted dick pics to gibbys daughter. knew it had to be something. seriously though "showcasing" Navarro makes no sense when the more he plays the worse he looks. When Edwin dove and missed the ball on 1st on a play Smoak makes yesterday I winced as his shoulder is still bugging him. I hope we see Smoak there today.
  7. Yup. Cant discount the impact of healthy Wieters and Machado in their line up this season.
  8. That is really pissing me off. With Edwin nursing that shoulder there is no reason he needs to be diving for balls when we have a better hitter than Navarro (.677 OPS) and better D than Edwin on the bench.
  9. Beltre just not healthy all season. His glove alone makes him valuable still. Still a force I think. Edwin playing at 1st with that shoulder having to dive for balls is just pissing me off when Smoak > Navarro @ plate and better defender than Edwin who should be DHing.
  10. Yes, Im sure those two will flock to us if we don't make the playoffs again, for a 3 year deal in Canada. Take your pick! If he is truly considering waiving his veto its likely largely because he thinks this team can win this yr. Equating accquiring Hamels, who has been one of the most consistent SP in MLB for years, to a "hail mary in the 3rd Q" does not make sense. We are one game out with 84 games left in a winnable division. We don't need a HM. We need a calculated decision to acquire a quality arm(s) imo.
  11. Watching Chavez for the A's pitching into the 6th. What a sleeper that guy has been now 31. Great 5th SP. I remember his Jays starts....he was pretty good in AAA but didn't get much of a chance and when he did he was bad.
  12. The price for those two will be more imo and Cueto is only a rental. Reds can get a 1st round pick just by making Cueto a QO if they keep.
  13. Hamels > RA big time. He is 32 with consistent front end results. Over valuing? He is expensive but he isn't a rental and I think his contract is more dealable if need be than Mark B's was. We have the best offense in baseball imo bolstered by additions of Martin/JD and we sit one game out with a need for a quality arm(s). Always next year? Reminds me of the Nationals decision to sit Strasburg to protect him for "next year" as part of their grand plan. They didn't even make the playoffs next season and ended up paying big for Scherzer anyway.
  14. I cant argue with that. We got one....Brosuna!
  15. I remember the fapping over Profar. "generational talent"....fap fap fap. Heard same on D'arnaud who may become a good player if he can ever stay off the DL. I don't get why some under value the opportunity here and now with the existing team plus the right established addition(s) which will cost us some assets.
  16. NEVER underestimate the Red Sox and lets try and take it one W one day a time. Teams that look past teams end up looking up at teams in the standings.
  17. Holy f***...nice job Osuna changing the eye angles and the speeds. Unreal that kid. PHEW!! Good job men!!
  18. Org, what you say is true but we don't have a very good pen imo. There is legit criticism and then there is idiot whining.
  19. Osuna will get it done...Odor having game of his life.
  20. Choo has really fallen off. That guy used to be an OBP monster and a very good hitter. Big contract. Another great job Osuna. Gibby not f***ing around.
  21. Whatever happens Im ok with this move to go to Osuna. Delabar was unlucky on the bloop...but I wish he would have challenged the #9 hitter a bit more.
  22. great pitch...95 elevated about the zone after those splitters. one more!
