  1. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/73955164/v466492483/torbos-martin-nabs-castillo-with-81-mph-cannon Statscast on Martins throw Sept 8th. "arguably MLBs strongest C arm"
  2. Confident in Hutch and our ability to mash Kelly again even though he has been better....but that's against mortal offenses GO Jays!!
  3. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/148229464/statcast-recap-martin-realmuto-taylor-kang Statscast on Martin beastlike throw last night..."arguably the strongest catching arm in MLB"....
  4. lol. So do I. Its really getting worse with the intensity build of every game now. I feel like Im living a pennant race for 6 weeks now...and its awesome. 22 years waiting.
  5. Even if Gibby got Puig and Sano to beat JD with cudgels you couldn't keep him off the field in this pennant race. He is a stud who wants to change the game on both sides of the ball.
  6. I was ok with Cueto/Chapman package Cueto has disappointed in the AL. I love Price but would have preferred Hamels. IMO he is a better asset for us with his contract. Price has been better than I could have hoped. We have been in a position to win every one of his starts so far.
  7. Ben isn't the perfect option, but this was our LF situation pre Revere. Im glad he is here. Nice work AA.
  8. ...RA stepping up to keep us close. Another big start! We so needed that after losing yesterday.
  9. just watched this on PVR after my kids little league. What a game. Huge RA start. Thought we were totally snake bit hitting balls hard at everyone. Cecil is 2013 nasty. Martin's cannon sick....JD of course. Cola on D even looked good. Great win Jays!! Proud of this team.
  10. Bartolo Colon is NL player of the week putting up 0's Amazing...this guy has been doing it forever and looks like Jabba the Hut on the bump.
  11. One day one W at a time. Go Jays. Coaching my kids little league tonight so PVRing. Hope I come home to another solid RA start and the Jays bats a rockin'
  12. If it was funny I would have laughed. Yes I think he is
  13. They do have a point, but I am old school in the sense that to me that's looking past the enemy right in front of you. We don't have any head to head KC games. We control our own destiny with the AL East and right now we are virtually tied with the Yanks. It seems laughable now that when we caught and blew past the Yanks some were saying they were an old team who couldn't catch up the FB this late in the season etc. McCaan and A-Rod etc wont die and they have some very good arms.
  14. Expectations are/were too high for this kid BUT, given he is healthy, with the lack of depth behind Price we have no choice but to throw him in the deep end and see if he floats - 2015. If he floats, he is a valuable SP asset and if he struggles he is still a decent arm in pen.
  15. Absolutely. And frankly I wouldn't be surprised if he goes on a tear this month. This is a guy with a .400 lifetime OBP (and lots of other great numbers) who is K'ing at a Rasmus rate right now. I cant see that continuing.
  16. They have to bring him up. Was reading he was 92-94 today and his stuff was sharp. At his best last year he was touching 96 and using the slider to LHH and the sinker so effectively. His interviews today were classic "give me the ball" Stro. They have to see what he can do.
  17. What a manic bunch...jesus Didn't we get spanked by BALT in the last series first game and come back to win the next two??!!! Mark B had a terrible start in 2015 and 2013...then he went on a roll this season...now he is struggling and again everyone says he is done. lol. WE are still in 1st and have the talent and options to win the division. We have to execute one game at a time. Just WIN baby!
  18. lol. this isn't the end of the 2014 season....its the end of the 2015 season. We are in a pennant race and our kid hasn't really pitched in a year because of a major injury....let alone in high leverage situations. People are rightly concerned and speculating on his rehab and ability to help us this yr. Jays will figure it out and hopefully make the right call.
  19. True except Buehrle has given the Jays the most "quality starts" of any SP we have this year. (we have added Price obviously and maybe Stro) I am concerned about him.
  20. Tough day at the office for the Jays. Just didn't get the start and the pen was leaking. Lets hope RA brings his A game tomorrow again and we get back in the W column And f*** the Yankees...last time I looked they are still chasing us.
  21. You know normally I'd agree with this totally. But the team is considering taking a kid coming off major injury and putting him into a high leverage situation. How he was commanding his pitches in BUFF is important imo.
  22. Its a given that if his leg hurts or he isn't healthy he doesn't come up. Determining if he can help the team is dependent on his effectiveness....and to determine that the stat lines are relevant indicator to some degree.
  23. TL was no better. Bunch of drama like we are 15 year old school girls. Quitting the board (or lurking) is silly. Call it a bad day and get back on the horse.
