  1. link? There is a big difference between being a recovering alcoholic and a guy who just doesn't party anymore. Most famous people aren't able to recover under the radar anymore.
  2. ^ This. Tulo and Goins up the middle on D...with another well respected power threat in Tulo shortening the bottom of the order. Me likey.
  3. Tulo comin' back. Fo' sure. Book it! http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/anthopoulos-optimistic-tulowitzki-will-return-for-rays-series/ Took about 40 swings yesterday. They showed a short clip of him outside taking BP before the gm before rain shut it down. Of course you always wonder if it will be a Travis-like return where the injury gets aggravated.
  4. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/martin-maintains-private-nature-despite-shift-in-blue-jays-clubhouse/ Couldn't find any stories on him regarding recovery. This story on why he left the celebration says little.
  5. Yup. Got a glimpse into what life would be like in the zombie apocalypse when there is no TBJMB and it wasn't pretty. Great game(s) though. A Jays come from behind win off O'Day - Yanks and KC lose.
  6. Well said. The ball sense on that tag was epic. And the walk off...well...just another day @ the office for JD. Was awesome to watch. Fell off my chair lifting my kid up high enough to watch it going out (cause everyone stood) and fell into some guy and his wife from PEI beside me who I just met. He just helped us up and was smashing off Hi 5's. All good in Jays Nation.
  7. Lawrie almost wasnt traded for JD because he is Canadian. If Martin wasn't Canadian Navarro would be starting C for sure
  8. Feel same. Lawrie wanted to win, and just like Stro was animated and jacked up. Good player. Just not close to JD.
  9. Love the guy. He is a craftsman and some day Ill talk about him with my kid remembering his stellar career and testament to consistency and guile. Shame it had to end but don't care as I much as I thought. We have a division to close out. I am glad we had him and might even support a QO.
  10. It drives me nuts he won't be on our playoff roster and Izzzz ----eeeekkkk---iii--elll may be when Pompey can give you many more tools.
  11. The other 3 are former/current "Jays" nastys. What does that have to do with Rivera? We all know what his cutter was. HOF. Also....Guzman's slider was rated #1 in AL in his time.
  12. BBBB with the walk-off GDT. Place was nuts today. What an awesome home regular season finale and game be at. Intense!!! JD and Cecil= Beasts
  13. I think so. It was flat! And THAT is one of the reasons Smoakie is in the lineup.
  14. BBBB waxing poetically in his authentic frontier Saskabush gibberish. Nice job! (I think). Go Jays!
  15. Absolute crowd mayhem for hoodies today trying to get in. Insanity and even once in section 100 gridlock. Some idiots butting in front of kids/parents waiting since 8am in hoodie line. Just low.
  16. ^ this. Baseball is a business and if fans want to buy it...good for Rogers and MLB.
  17. That's what I love about baseball. After the MIA deal a lot of people picked us to win. On paper means little. You have to win on the field - usually a result of talent, big years, health and luck. Every year we see front runners and deadline deals flop with surprises ascending. Love this game.
  18. THAT was incredible. He was WAY up and over for that. What an athlete.
  19. Didn't know that about him. Good for him. Still kind of surprised he wouldn't hang out. Maybe instead of the goggles like Joey Bats we need to rig him up a full face shield.
  20. Awesome. KC broadcast and stadium unbelievably subdued...Tied for 1st AL. They know they need their mojo back. Go Jays! Just keep taking em one at a time and rack up W's.
  21. Agreed!!! We scored 9 runs off Archer today! Bring anyone on. Watching KC lose. Stadium and announcers feed sounds like a funeral procession.
  22. Absolutely the case. This shouldn't be either or. They are both heavily flawed players than can and have been useful to us. Not every player on the field will be a superstar. Smoak had a good game today. Cola struck out again. PHing...and on it goes. Use them both.
  23. Big start for the team and for Price in the CY today. Going to come down to the final week....for the Div and the CY.
  24. We shouldn't be surprised. Goins is hitting much better but he will never be a good hitter. Doubt he will ever be league avg for middle IF offensively. He has been on a good run.
  25. Tulo 'excited' about how recovery is going Blue Jays shortstop taking swings and fielding grounders, but no return date set http://m.bluejays.mlb.com/news/article/151620682/troy-tulowitzki-improving-after-injury "Taking swings" is music to my ears.
