    Couple things pulled off Fangraphs to that point: http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/so-kevin-pillar-is-probably-leading-off-for-the-blue-jays/ The Quick Opinion: Pillar parlayed exemplary centerfield defense into 628 plate appearances and made the most of it as a sneaky-solid fantasy outfielder with a .278 average, 12 homers, and 25 stolen bases. He even notched 132 runs plus RBI -- three fewer than Gregory Polanco -- despite spending 88% of his time in the bottom third of the lineup. Polanco was in the first two spots for 87% of his PA.

    Don't like the move with Pillar at lead off, but I'm not sure why so many want to see Saunders there either with the other choices this team has. Guy has a career OBP and wOBA of .301 Do people feel he'll do better than that? We are 2 games in. Christ, last year lots of people thought he was deceased.

    Fair comments. Agree that Smoak's range is limited but he seems adept at GBs and picking throws. I am just going by the eye test on Cola (nothing to do with LF - he gave us all he had out there). He started out pretty badly at 1B but seems to have improved latter stages 2015. I was at the TEX- TOR playoff game where he made that great play which still stands out in my mind, and in the off season he talked a lot about showing people that he is better @ 1B than people have considered. I hope he does.

    Good comments. Our D this year is dramatically improved from what we saw @ the beginning of 2015 and I think its a big X factor for the rotation, complemented by a deeper pen. We saw it yesterday with Tulo's pick with KK @ 2B. It saved a run. Reyes doesn't make that pick(and if he does he duffs the throw). Pillar started 2015 in LF lol. I don't expect much from him, but Cola is even playing better @ 1B with a couple of nice stabs already.

    Couple yrs ago we would have begged just for a split @ the Trop. Now we want MORE.

    I just don't have a feeling of dread @ SS, LF, the pen and rotation like I did @ the start of 2015. Tulo's pick to save a run today epitomizes why.

    I'm no Thole fan but I read (cant find quotes) that Martin said the KB really beat him up last year. Planning to give him those 30ish starts this year probably isn't a bad long term strategy to help keep Martin solid is it?

    Love that line. So applicable in all situations. Tepera...I could care less. If he was better he would still be up. We are trying to win a flag (ok, more than one flag)

    He probably has the best slider in the game, backed up by a great FB. We probably have the best 0 in baseball. Its not as easy at it looks man.
