  1. I like this optimism. Agreed. We have 5 hits already off him.
  2. Just a bloop and a blast...from Um still being behind, and RA giving up more runs. His starts are usually such a circus.
  3. BBBB for mod - 2016. More entertaining than Trump, and less risk. Let the Ban Hammer fall in 2016.
  4. Ya ya. I didn't fly from Cal to watch to be pessimistic. Even my 7 year old knows we are in tough with this match up. If nothing else we will get to see one of the top hurlers in the gm today live.
  5. I know its crazy, but for some reason I have a good feeling about this game facing Kershaw. Our offense is starting to get contributions up and down the order. The D has been good and LAD hasn't seen much of the KB. Lets go Jays!!!!
  6. He drilled that. I couldn't believe it went out on that line.
  7. @ the game in the 200's. Just looks like they are flailing away. Maeda is good with the goo. 2 hard hit balls in 5 innings both hit into outs. Luckily Stro has been on too.
  8. The only reason LO isn't more "run producing" is the bottom of our order has been mostly s***. Although Pillar is now hitting the ball better. I like Saunders, but he Is punching over his weigh right now. If Travis is close to what he was 2015, he makes the most sense to LO.
  9. I like Schulman. Less platitudes and blah blah.
  10. I thought you would have given up the unrelated theme South Park memes this year. Or maybe that's supposed supposed supposed JD on top of Odor? Great to see them pull out another W!
  11. Nice to get a little BABIP luck too. Atta boy Jose....keep the line moving Edwin.
  12. That was the game. I happened to be in TOR and was at it. That's a different issue as in "was that an opportune time to try and make a throw to get someone out at 1B?" I tend to agree that he was a fired up and looking to show them up. The point I'm making is the two issues aren't connected. If it was a bad time to make the throw, that doesn't determine whether he gets an injury or not. He could have just as easily hurt it trying to gun down a runner going 1B to 3B, like he has done many times, without injury. Injuries are part of the game. Guy runs down to 1B 100 times no problem.....until one of those times he pulls a hammy. Should he not run to 1B?
  13. That could have happened on any throw mate. When he nailed a runner @1B before, I bet most of us jumped off the coach with fist pumps. He tried it again and it didn't work out. But I don't blame it on a "stupid throw"...its happens. That's why there are aging curves. These things add up on players.
  14. Nothing. But 5 months left. We have seen the slow start movie before. They are both basically 1B/DH guys now. At this point they are looking at closer to Beltres deal than a $125-150mm deal. At least he has D value and he is only a yr older than Jose. For all the talk of how great a shape Jose is in to fight aging curves, his throwing and his shoulder last night don't look too healthy.
  15. This is where we need a big hit to pick up Jose. Let's go Tulo.
  16. It's just a matter of time. Painful excruciating time. But it's going to happen. Let's go Jays! W tonight.
  17. As if we didn't know this pain. I actually thought this pen was much better than last year to start the season. I'm shocked at how badly its gone. Lets hope they get it together. 18. It will be interesting to see if last year plays out or these issues continue over full season. Edwin has big $ at stake. Beltre is 37 and signed 2/36. His D adds so much value. Something Edwin doesn't have(or Jose for that matter). They simply have to mash to get paid.
  19. Agree that he is cocky. His twitter fight with Wilner about his qualities for being the LO hitter was brutal. He has also said some other strange things. He still seems like a nice guy though in interviews etc. Chatted with him when he has signed autographs for my son etc and he is always really pleasant. He is a stellar defensive player and should probably have somewhere around a 90 wRC+ again this year. 3 WAR "ish". Goins cant come close to matching that.
  20. A 13 wRC+ is part of the reason. His D hasn't been that good either. Cant bunt; put a ball in play or take a BB consistently. Its 2014 all over again.
  21. Neither. It's a reactionary thread. It wouldn't have appeared last season when things were going well, and it shouldn't appear now a month in. Jacoby isn't the problem or the solution.
  22. You do realize he was our hitting coach last season when we blew the doors off the league scoring runs? And you want to can him a month into 2016? GTFO.
  23. The K's rates are really getting old. Making it look like we are facing Thor out there.
  24. Nice close play to get the lead runner RA. Let's stop this at 1.
