    D is important but we have to hit. We were 30th in MLB in Sept in runs scored. Got to flip a switch tonight now that its Oct. Overall Travis > Goins and Saunders has raked the O's.

    Ya, no kidding. How many times was "must win" game thrown around on the board this season? Well this one is the real deal. One and done or one and in.

    One team that Saunders has hit well against is the O's and with a RHP on the bump Gibby had to get his bat in the line up. Travis made some great plays on D in BOS under a lot of pressure. I'm good with Gibbys line up.

    True, But you have to figure that Britton is long overdue for a poor outing. At least that's my secondary prayer. My first is that our bats show up and its a non issue. Aside from flipping Tulo and Martin I think Gibby posted the best line up possible.

    All of that KK....I'm dreading it. Worse, he tries to make bad sarcastic jokes about the plays with little knowledge.

    I would but I cant. I already tried but I agreed to dinner with him last week here in Calgary when she told me he was coming in from TOR. But at that time I didn't know it would be WC night!! I tried to cancel but he is from my wifes side and she wont have it. OTOH he does work for Rogers and has gotten me tickets a few times so I think I just have to suck it up.

    I get that...I love GDTs. Its a virtual way to watch the Jays with passionate non casual fans. It is a shame the trolls and overly reactionary posters make it unreadable sometimes.

    Best team doesn't always win best of 3, 5 or 7 either but it does help the probabilities. KC had the golden horseshoe up their asses last year and they rode an inflated BABIP, Cecil injury, bad strike calls and Alcides Escobar (of all f***ing people to lead off) against us to the WS ring.

    Shout out to the mods for the game tonight to be heavy with the ban hammer please. I'm sure the trolls will be out in full force trying to f*** up this historic(our first WC Game) GDT with their attention craving posts calling the game over in the first 2 innings if the O's score a run etc.

    Had two dreams about the Jays last night. In one Edwin was piggybacking Jose around the field goofing around while the O's were all rounding the bases. I was screaming at them to play the ball. I have a yappy brother in law casual visiting me from TOR tonight who wants to watch the game with me. I had to warn him not to talk too much and if we are losing I may become uncontrollably irrational and violent. Lets go Jays!! Get the bats rolling tonight.

    Its all about the bats. We are 30th in runs in MLB in Sept ... that's not going to get you deep in the playoffs lol. Time to turn the page to Oct and have better ABs. We got this.

    He should be ok. I cant help but think back to his playoff starts against TEX and Desheild's hammering balls off the wall to start the games, and our board saying "well, that's not exactly the start(s) we wanted".

    Two good choices. I voted Liriano with the O's numbers against LHP. His command is always a worry. Pearce is an X factor they added. He mashed LHP this year. Liriano has been very good against them last 2 starts. Stro has been pitching well. Excellent xFIP. Still, when he misses up with the 2S or doesn't elevate enough, he tends to get rocked. 16.5% HR/FB although that's been heading down. Go with Liriano and is he clearly doesn't have it...quick hook to Stro. At the end of the day, our bats have to roll, or it wont matter.

    The older I get the more I seem to appreciate team rewards more and individual less. I guess I lived through too many years where Doc and Roger CY's and Jose's HR titles were our only consolation prizes and gave us some reason to watch in Sept. Not to knock guys who do care about them, but I'm only interested in this team winning the WC and moving on. #FlagsFlyForever
