    Ya, I'm not on the extend Ray train. Its great that his K/BB rate has improved so much but I don't understand how/why he gives up so many bombs. I haven't looked at the numbers but with the eye its seems like they are coming off all his pitches. Is a movement or location issue or both? He gets squared up a lot.

    Listening to this Alek Manoah interview post game talking about his Mom and family is choking me up. He shows a lot of respect and gratitude. Thats just awesome.

    Whatever...whoever. Bring it on. Any winning team always has major contributions from someone(or more) than few expected(Chris Collabello in 15, as 1 example. Brett Cecil's curve become completely unhittable for another). Hatch could be that guy. Hopefully there are more.

    What a brutal week. If we can get healthier and Manoah and/or Pearson can add some value we can rebound. I remember in 2015 going to watch a June 4 gm set in Houston, where we lost all 4 at Minute Maid and it was f***ing depressing. During the 4th loss, Shi Dividi was in the food line up beside me so we started talking about the series. He said teams are never as good as they look when rolling and never as bad as they look when cratering. Wiley sage that he is (sarcasm) was correct that year. Mind you we also picked up Revere, Tulo and Price. But it could happen with our core talent and pieces can be added. By the time i went to my 50th Bday in August in Anaheim to watch 3 games we were in 1st place and we smoked them 3 times. (I'm giving myself a Buntoyo pep talk here to get ready for tonight and Manoah tomorrow). All starts today. New season.

    This is the right call in today’s game. Let him develop more against the best. Got my attention. That start is can’t miss TV. Now if we could option Charlie to AAA to switch spots it would be perfect.

    Ya. My somewhat irrational anger at Buntoyo was giving me a twitch in my left eye like the Chief Inspector in the Pink Panther movies. Had to step away and based on results glad I did. Man since the 2 out 9th inning home run by JD this week blew hard.

    He is a big loss but he is just a mirage in the Dustin McGowan vein. Nobody can ever really count on the poor guy because he just have never been able to sustain health/performance. That said, I’ll be glad to see him back for however long it lasts.

    We have been hit hard but every team is fighting injuries. It’s very rare for any team to not be missing some key pieces. Takes quality depth and some luck to overcome. We had some luck for awhile. Our pen was over achieving. Now the luck is gone. Thankfully I spared myself from watching since Espinals 3 strike bunt attempt the other night.

    I’ll follow and keep an eye on them as always but i think I’m done watching games while he is there. I was fine with Dolis loss game before last. Don’t blame Buntoyo for that. That was just baseball. But I can’t invest hours in a game, only to watch a buffoon make bad baseball decisions that decrease our probability of winning, due to some old warped notion of the game. This team is too good and too close for that. The L clouded some amazing performances by some of our players.

    Anything. They were on literally on top of him. I wouldn’t have had him bunting at all after he showed it. Let alone with 2 strikes. He was facing the perfect guy to hit a ball on the ground. Egregious night for Montoyo. And therefore Jays fans. I blame Atkins. We spend all the money on high performance teams and training and all the latest equipment and analytics analysis etc. etc. and then we allow this “old school” monkey f***ing ********?
