Another exciting match up night! My wife asked me last night as I was cursing out Tapia "how long is baseball season again? when does it end?". I told her October. Look on her face wasn't good. My son is playing 15U AAA this summer and my 5 year old daughter is starting and I'm coaching that chaos. Doesn't help that I have the MLB subscription and some form of baseball seems to be on 16 hours a day. Love this sport!! Its the best.

Thats an accurate paraphrase of what they said. Willing to spend money on what I thought was an unnecessary risk is not a great tone. Extrapolating that, Roark was to set a tone that they would sign FA starters like Gausman. Just sign them. No need to make bad investments to set a tone. Overall I think the FA has done a good job. Everyone has misses. Not ready to put the statue up just yet.

He was last year. Little bit of sellers remorse going on with Tapia's horrible start. I cant stand him already. Like at least play D well! My reaction with this deal at the time was...out of the frying pan into the fire. Did we really save money net net? I think we had to send $9mm over with Randal. Maybe a few mill next year. Not nothing I guess. And ya I get it ba dump ba lol

I agree. Making good decisions and all the plays. That back hand in the hole with the bases loaded for 3rd out after manoah walked bases loaded 2 nights ago was as big as that DP later if not more.

No. Deep counts. Frustrating guy to watch. Same as last year. Makes me realize once again what a steal of found money Matz was last year for a 5th. Also I hate Collins.

Good pen work and D boys. Love to see the D as much if not more than the home runs. Richards a little shaky but sometimes you have to get D! tack some on and 3 more outs.

Collins? Really? This s*** drives me nuts. Is Biggio hurt again or something? We have to try to get him going before we give him another day off. A parade of s***** LHH's isnt going to help us.

You mean guys like Edwin and Jose who we signed to long term deals off of 1 good season? There is risk in business and all deals. It doesn't always work out the way you want. Ryu and this game sucked but let's relax on game 3.

Biggest over reaction from casuals is love affair with Espy first 2 games. I think he is a great piece too but Biggio is too good to give up on and if he makes some adjustments successfully, he is such an important LHH bat in the order. He also made a nice catch yesterday on that LD.

Would be such a boost if Ryu can rebound. Such a contrast in stuff mixed into the big 3 RHP in rotation.

What are our 2 biggest weaknesses? - Not enough swing and miss in our pen. We will need to add more depth over the season. - Not having at least 1 impact LHH bat yet is an issue. Going to assume we make the playoffs and face elite SP & pens. Confident they will add. Happy with 2B situation. Biggio and Espy have both been 2.5 WAR players. Biggio will figure league adjustment out. Ride the hot Espy some while it lasts. -
We all knew this kind of thing was going to happen with Charlie. My head will explode when Tapia and/or Zimmer PH for Kirk. Cause...LHH. Watching Tapia he just screams meh.

Can't wait. I was watching the CLE game and always so strange to see Anthony Gose on the mound. Looked ok. Lots of FB. Topped out at 96. This Board talked about him endlessly back when he was a prospect.

His avg 4 seam was 94.6 in 21 his best season. Down 1 mph from 20. His V was fine today. FB location wasn't his best, but the splitter was wicked. First outing. V will probably tick up a bit. He will be the guy we bought this season.
