  1. I can see the A's going for him, but I'm guessing the other two guys will be in on the Lowrie's and Asdrubal's or trade for Tulo.
  2. Those are 3 very interesting names, especially if you're not really relying on them to be SP 2/3 or your starting SS.
  3. Everth Cabrera was a non-tender. Anyone think he could cut it at 2B? At the very least he'd be an improvement over Goins as an infield replacement for 2B/SS and could take over the late inning PR duty. Not sure what it would cost to get him but I couldn't imagine it would be much more than what TB got for Sean Rodriguez.
  4. I don't post a lot but if you don't think this is good for the jays then you are on glue.
  5. Shock top is pretty good. Definitely out of a glass with a slice of orange if you've got it.
  6. Jeremy Jeffress has great stuff.
  7. I think the stuff is very comparable, but Sanchez's delivery looks a lot more repeatable despite it looking stiff. Drabek was (and I assume still is having not seen him in a while) flying towards first after every pitch. I have more confidence that Sanchez can find some control.
  8. You sir have won the internet this evening.
  9. This may be the worst idea I've ever seen.
  10. Looks like the Rangers lineup is posted instead of the Red Sox...
  11. All of these numbers are absolutely terrible. There must be someone - anyone - who's better than him.
  12. That must have been the guy doing the Tanaka/Stroman game a couple weeks ago.
  13. Consarnit! Back to the topic, I'd like to see Goins as a callup over the other MIF's strictly because of his D. Juan Francisco in as a PH for Tolleson, but then Goins to play 2nd instead of Lawrie to 2 and Juan to 3.
  14. I think that was Getz.
  15. How about Brett Lawrie? Showing a bit more calm and a much better approach at the plate, especially lately. Where he's most valuable is in the field, not just with actual good fielding, but with positional flexibility. Without him, there would be none of this insane platoon (SSS and regression obviously). That's Troy Tulowitzki/Yasiel Puig level production we've got from this platoon when they have the advantage.
  16. Jays playoff odds at 45.7%, division odds at 32.4%. (Knocks furiously on wood and wood-like products) http://www.fangraphs.com/coolstandings.aspx
  17. Also about 45 MM to plug holes assuming current salary levels.
  18. That Fransisco homer was an absolute bullet. You don't see too many homers where the guy sees it go out before he gets to first.
  19. Interesting that there's no Sierra vs LHP Vargas. Is it possible that those in charge realize he blows? Also interesting is Getz starts over Diaz despite not having the platoon advantage.
  20. Where's the GDT? Getting pretty close to game time...
  21. If he has a terrible wOBA, he can't "handle the bat." And why would you waste an out to move a runner over? Why not get a hit move him over and put yourself on? This is why good players (possibly your best hitter) should bat 2nd.
