    There was compensation when Epstein went to the Cubs and that was a promotion, so the precedent has been set. If this happens I'm sure there will be some compensation though it should be very little.

    Escobar steals 3rd while up by 5 runs. Wasn't any need to and frustrated Sox don't like it and say so. Escobar should just stfu and take it, but acts like his stupid self instead.

    I'm no judge of what great sports bars are around, but the Loose Moose used to be ok. ( haven't been there in a while) Even Jack Astors has a lot of screens around. Both at front & university. Plenty of other places nearby too. Don't forget about the NBA playoffs as there's a game at 9 pm.

    Wow, didn't watch the game and just looked at the boxscore. I see Morrow was his usual stellar self, and the new call up gets greeted with a slam. What a joke this org has become.........

    lol, this is what I expect all season from this staff! Good start, bad start, etc... all season long leading to another frustrating season. Not really surprising....

    Just fyi, you can change the name of the awards in league setup so you can have the Cy Young Award instead.

    Also for those who don't know, you don't have to just start with the current MLB season. You can go back and recreate history, or even create your own fictional leagues and create your own league history. This is a fictional Canadian league I made up for the game: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/ootp-mods-rosters-photos-quick-starts/232784-canadian-baseball-league-quickstart.html You can have MLB running alongside fictional leagues and have free agents move back and forth. Lots of possibilities with this game....

    OOTP is a great sim and I've been playing it since version 4 I think. I recommend checking out the OOTP forums, where you'll find all kinds of cool stuff and help if you need it. They also have some other games in the pipeline, including a hockey sim though I haven't tried it and I think they just announced a football sim is coming.

    This is the entire game here for context, I didn't watch the whole thing, but the last inning starts at about 45:00 I thought he made one bad call on a walk prior to the last one and maybe some others are debatable, but he's not a major league umpire.

    Mandalay viewed Ottawa as a way out of Erie, but they lost the bid. So no AA team in Ottawa, which probably would've gotten more support than a Can-Am league team.

    Wow! Guess I missed some epic stuff in this thread. While I don't blame Gibbons for this entire season, he was not someone I really wanted as manager either. That being said, ultimately his fate should be decided by a totally new upper management team. Everyone from Beeston to AA needs to be gone now!!! Sadly it won't happen.

    I don't think this is all on Gibby, feel kind of bad for him now actually. Anyway, this is a joke of a team right now and not just on the field. If there's any house cleaning to be done it should start at the highest levels starting with Beeston, AA and whomever else is upstairs with any influence. This organization needs new leadership everywhere and someone who's dedicated to changing the organizations culture or whatever you want to call it. I'd do it asap, but that's probably not going to happen.

    Hmm, interesting. You'd think that a high P/PA would lead to a higher number of total PA and a higher OBP, hopefully at least. Yet the Jays are only middle of the pack in those categories.
