    KC is a really good example of coming close. But, unfortunately for them that's all going to end next year. We're in a better position to keep those players though, but would you want to? Would you let them walk and just keep rinsing repeating until you get that cocktail again? Might not ever happen for them.

    Eh, I'm not sure if that's scouting, development or dumb luck. But you can't build your team on older players you hope turn into Bautista or Encarnacion. Those guys are the equivalent of winning a baseball lottery.

    Of course they'd stay and of course those would be the first to go. While AA was the GM I said quite adamantly that one of them (probably Encarnacion) would be extended, but now I'm not so sure.
