  1. I'm not surprised. Kid looks like Baby Soto. Sucks that the Jays will likely have no shot of getting him since they'll probably be near the back of the IFA draft. Without the draft, they might have had an edge in getting him, considering they gave his brother such a big deal. Have you heard anything about where he prefers to play, Ang?
  2. Made some tweaks to my GDT template. I added a schedule snippet at the top that shows the most recent game, today's game and the next game. I also revamped the hot links section and added a whole new row of links. Here's the breakdown of the new suite of hot links: - Schedule: Link to Blue Jays schedule on MLB.com - Standings: Link to standings on MLB.com (I can switch this to FanGraphs playoff odds if preferred) - News: Link to one of my favorite Jays sites, Blue Jays Aggregator - Rumors: Link to MLBTR's home page - Video: Link to Blue Jays filter on MLB Film Room - Radio: Link to Blue Jays Aggregator radio feed - Podcasts: Link to Blue Jays Aggregator podcast player - Twitter: Link to official Blue Jays twitter - Reddit: Link to /r/torontobluejays - Instagram: Link to official Blue Jays Insta - Spotlight: Link to Blue Jays surface overview on Sportsnet.ca - Depth Chart: Link to FanGraphs' simple Blue Jays depth chart - Org Overview: Link to FanGraphs' deeply detailed Blue Jays depth chart - Payroll: Link to FanGraphs' payroll breakdown (I can switch this to Cot's if preferred) - Transactions: Link to Blue Jays transactions feed on MLB.com - MLB Stats: Link to Blue Jays WAR leaders (link points to hitters, can switch to pitchers using the tabs at the top) - MILB Stats: Link to Blue Jays minor league wRC+ leaders (can switch to pitchers using the tabs at the top) - MILB Box Scores: Link to Blue Jays daily organizational box score tracker on MLB's prospect portal Let me know what you guys think and if you have any requests/feedback/something you'd like changed.

  4. Really sucks that Beltre's little brother likely won't be eligible to sign before an international draft is put in place. Manuel is one of my favorite Jays prospects and it would have been awesome to get his kid brother too.
  5. Jansen is a s*** defender. Actively turns strikes into balls by flailing his glove hand away from the zone.
  6. Arash Madani is such a f***ing tool. I'm watching Sportsnet and I'm guessing this clip is from last night but he just described Ryu's injury like Ryu is on his death bed.
  7. They could probably take Kikuchi out right now and have Thornton and Beasley throw the rest of the game and give up fewer runs than continuing to roll with this f***ing bum.
  8. Kikuchi is an extremely valuable player for the Blue Jays. He'd guarantee a win for Vladdy in the Home Run Derby.
  9. Not sure what I was expecting when I looked at the team's wRC+ leaders but it wasn't this. This deadball environment got me f***ed up, lmao.
  10. Hilarious reaction to Kirk's double early in the game in the White Sox sub.
  11. Previous Updates - April 27: https://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/10309-Minor-League-Rundown-The-2022-Season-So-Far Comments I know I said I wanted to cover the minors more this year but I had a long vacation this past month and have had several deaths in the family/friends circle the past week so I didn't have the time until now. Will try and figure out a system for doing this type of thing more often.
  12. Gabriel Moreno Gabriel Martinez Orelvis Martinez Jordan Groshans Ricky Tiedemann Nick Frasso Yosver Zulueta Dahian Santos Adrian Hernandez
  13. This is so great. The only sad part about the Jays being so stacked at catcher is that they won't be in on Contreras.
  14. Matt Carpenter just hit his third homer for the Yankees. This could be a huge pickup for them.
  15. There is no chance in hell this is a Chuckles decision. The kind of old-school morons that sit in the manager seats throughout baseball wouldn't rest their hottest hitters the same day their superstar is out. Most managers grew up in the "rub some dirt on it and play 162" culture. This kind of thing only happens if the training staff/high-performance team are mandating rest-days for the players ahead of time and have passed the manager a schedule of when those off-days need to take place. In other words, Vladdy was likely always scheduled for a DH day today while Gurriel was always scheduled for an off-day today, even before they knew Springer would be out sick.
  16. No Springer? Better rest Jansen and Gurriel on the same day.
  17. LMAO MCGUIRE YOU LAZY f***, THANK YOU Atkins' double agent plan worked to perfection.
  18. Clay Holmes has a 1033 ERA+.
