  1. The Rays couldn't get these numbers out of Adames. He was on the record as saying that he literally couldn't see pitches at the Trop ever since they installed the new lights. https://www.tampabay.com/sports/rays/2020/09/11/rays-willy-adames-trying-glasses-to-boost-home-numbers/ His stats since the trade are nearly identical to his road splits prior to the trade. This was a classic case of a player being more valuable for every other team in the league than he was for the Rays. Edit: Oops. Replied to this comment on the previous page and didn't notice Orgfiller's response before posting.
  2. This third pitch was called a ball in a 0-2 count to Biggio, lmao. Should have ended the inning. Instead, Biggio went on to walk and Gurriel came up right after and hit a grand slam. People are pissed.
  3. Funny story from Game 1: Teoscar Hernandez on a single - 112.9 MPH, .860 xBA Lourdes Gurriel on his singles - 113.6 MPH, .480 xBA... combined. Individually, Gurriel's two singles were 58.0 MPH for .230 xBA and 55.6 MPH for .250 xBA.
  4. Don't think I saw a shut out coming after Gallo's lead off triple in the 2nd. Great clean game.
  5. Congrats dude! I got married in my time away from the board as well, haha. Just celebrated my first anniversary on the 4th of the month.
  6. Not true. If anything, AA should have traded more because this team sucked at developing their good minor leaguers and wound up getting nothing for prospects that were once highly sought-after in the trade market like Alford, Pompey, Gose, Drabek, Sanchez, etc, etc. None of the highly-ranked guys they traded away even wound up being super regretful decisions outside of Syndergaard. AA actually had a really solid trading record outside of the Marlins and Dickey trades.
  7. Nice to see you here again man! Hope you decide to stick around. Always nice when one of the old regulars come back. I finally got back a few months ago myself.
  8. lmao, probably an issue with Yahoo Sports API. It's Springer.

  10. Not even just theoretically. Boyd, Graveman and Romano were all these types of signings. Boyd was 75K, Romano was 25K and Graveman was 5K.
  11. Speaking of which, Canada passed the United States in percentage of fully vaccinated people today, so we're trending in the right direction.
  12. The turf, sound system and batting cages have also been upgraded since they last played there. Shapiro said the old cages were among the worst in the league and the new ones are among the best.
  13. Rogers Center approved as an outdoor facility, regardless of if it's open or closed.
  14. One starter in the upcoming free agent class is off the market.
  15. The Jays just released the lineup. I'm very surprised the game hasn't already been postponed. I'm not going to make the game thread until very close to game time because I'm still fully expecting this one to get pushed off till tomorrow.
  16. Did anyone share the most recent BA list yet? Is this even the official mid-season update or is it just a big update I'm assuming because of the draft? https://www.baseballamerica.com/rankings/2021-top-100-prospects/
  17. Yeah, I don't see any way the game gets played today. Flash flood warning last night, still raining right now and will continue to rain showers through the day.
