  1. Jesus christ, that mustache. When you come onto the MLB Network looking like that, you're essentially validating the very large amount of tards in baseball who stigmatize and try to discredit stats like WAR simply by associating them with nerds.
  2. Totally off-topic... but everyone needs to see this. Do something I'm giving up on you (Leafs parody)
  3. Yeah I caught those on his BP page. None of that makes me feel any better about him than before. It just reaffirms the doubts I have about him. To be honest, I can't really justify ranking Nay ahead of a guy like Tellez, who is already far better than him against similar competition (both spent time at Lansing last year), despite being two years younger. Neither guy is gonna flash a golden glove or set the basepaths on fire. Both guys were touted for their pop, except that Nay has yet to translate that in any capacity to actual games. The only thing that people have against Tellez is his size, which doesn't bother me at all. We'll get his younger years, where it shouldn't be a problem.
  4. Thanks a ton, ace. Was hoping they had a write-up on Nay. Oh well. Trying to find a report or an opinion or basically anything to convince me that I'm wrong in being so low on Nay.
  5. Were you in on Jesse Crain. Please list all of the 6+ year FA contracts given out over the last 10 seasons that worked out for their clubs. It will be uploaded to mlb.com/video if it isn't already -- all the High Heat and MLB Network segments of note get uploaded to their page. Why, exactly? How else are they supposed to get people to f*** off when they ask them 300 questions every offseason about every big ticket free agent? And what is the downside to letting people know you're not in on these guys? The only thing that comes from them keeping their 5-year policy a secret is that more agents can create ******** rumors about the Jays being in on their guys to milk money out of other teams, and all that does is give false hope to casual Jays fans who flip out everytime it turns out the Jays "missed" the guy.
  6. If they defected now, I wouldn't be surprised to see them cleared to sign before July 2. New policy has made it a lot easier for guys to come over.
  7. Can an angel with a BP subscription please post the full version of this article from a few days ago? http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=25441
  8. I think the MLB.TV webpage tells you that it isn't possible, but this is probably just to scare people away from using it. It's not uncommon for five different people to be using the same MLB.TV account, and based one everything I've read, people have never had trouble watching the same games from different IP's. Check out this thread, or just google it for more opinions: Comment of note: http://i.gyazo.com/5d6bf736563cafa768bdc8767107d8ae.png You'll find plenty more people saying the same thing, that they've never had trouble sharing it with multiple people.
  9. Unfortunately not, but I know a ton of people who split it with friends and buddies. Sask was asking if someone wanted to split it on the previous page. Split it with 1 person and the price automatically drops to $65. Split it with two and you'll only be paying a bit more than $40 per person. I know more people that share MLB.TV than I do people who use it solo.
  10. Once your account is set up, you can probably watch it on any device that it's compatible with. I've only used the iPad app and the online stream.
  11. Yeah you gotta set up an account at rogersondemand.com and you'll need her account number.
  12. Are you sure? I'd use my sister's account sometimes and it did s*** out every now and then, giving me a message that I needed to be subscribed to the Jays package or some s***, but if I cleared the cookies on that page and refreshed it a few times, it'd eventually work. Anyway, there's some great quality streams for Jays games now, so if anything, we'll figure something out once the season starts for the people who can't watch it otherwise.
  13. No, I'll have a stream for probably every single Jays game. I won't be using it, since I have Rogers on Demand, but anyone that needs it can request a link.
  14. You really shouldn't go into the season expecting that Hendriks, Redmond and Francis will look like Cy Young in comparison to the Laffey's and Reyes' of previous years. Those guys are probably going to be just as bad.
  15. I don't think they'd black you out in BC, but even if there are blackout restrictions, you can probably watch it from anywhere using a VPN. We've also usually got links for streams on game days, so you can probably catch most games for free if you follow this forum. Lastly, if you're a Rogers customer (any of their services, even if you just have a cell phone with them) you can watch all the games for free on rogersondemand.com
  16. http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/just-a-bit-outside/baseball-joe/blog/history-hurts-shields-chances-at-landing-a-big-contract-012715 You're right in Buehrle being the best precedent for Shields. He could be looking at a ceiling of the Burnett contract, but I think people have gotten wiser in the years since then and realize that's not a good deal.
  17. I mentioned this a couple days ago; Jimenez got 50M and I think Bourn got 48M. That said, I don't think that's really much of a precedent. While I do think that his price tag has come down considerably, I can still see Shields getting 70-80M if that one desperate team emerges from the pack.
  18. Based on? Based on? Based on?
  19. I'll take this as pretty great news, considering this guy had TJS just eight friggin months ago...
  20. I thought I was your favorite.
  21. Almost made this exact post last night.
  22. Zack Greinke apparently isn't sold on Friedman's makeover lol http://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgers/dodgersnow/la-sp-dn-zack-greinke-contract-dodgers-cardinals-20150131-story.html
  23. Seahawks' QB Russell Wilson with the Rangers in spring training last year (Rule 5 Draft Pick) http://i.gyazo.com/4bf583c7e7a21d1ba98e5013cb6997cb.png
