I don't care. That means nothing to me. Not having made the playoffs in a long time shouldn't automatically raise the value of a s***** 1 game play-in. It's still a s***** 1 game play-in. I'd rather have guys that give the team a better shot at making the playoffs for a longer period of time, and going deep into those playoffs if they ever get there, rather than throw away players who could become very valuable assets for a one game crapshoot.
On the other hand, if you're talking about a realistic shot at the division title, that's where I believe the team should be making some big moves, for players with some control.
And the Athletics were another wild card seed who went all in, traded away very valuable long-term assets, acquired two "aces", and have nothing but a garbage 2015 season to show for it.
