As much as I defend Anthopolous on here, you can't write off 2013 as a "retooling" year. The "window" began with the Mets and Marlins deals. It's not a question of whether it should have started there, but the fact that they made those trades tells us that they believed they were ready. -
I don't have much of an opinion on this, other than not wanting a new regime change to create a power struggle in the front office. Other than that, I'm just glad that they aren't settling on a moron like Kenny Williams.

If they're moving Revere up from the 9th spot, why is Pillar still batting ahead of him? It doesn't even make sense from a platoon point of view because Pillar is bunched in with the other five righties and then you get three consecutive lefties with Revere, Goins and Thole.

So Tito and Epstein took the fall for the 2011 collapse, and now Orsillo is out because ratings are down. It isn't possible to just f***ing suck sometimes, there always has to be a scapegoat. How does anybody work for that team without suffering from anxiety?

There should be a rule where new posters aren't allowed to be sarcastic until they've made 300 posts. It's too hard to tell which new guys are dumn and which ones aren't.

I think it's stupid too, but that doesn't change the fact that some voters are dumb enough to be swayed by things like this. Since this list missed on Felix in 2010 (they had Price), it's correctly predicted all 9 Cy Young winners (Halladay, Verlander, Kershaw, Price, Dickey, Scherzer, Kershaw, Kluber, Kershaw).

Kinda stupid that a glitch in ESPN's system has somehow resulted in Price being omitted from their "Cy Predictor" list, considering that a lot of writers actually take a look at this. This stat was designed by Rob Neyer and Bill James, and it actually has a very strong success rate at correctly predicting Cy Young winners. http://espn.go.com/mlb/features/cyyoung David Price should be #2 on this list.

Just got a Samsung Smart TV a couple months ago myself. I originally bought a a 60" SHARP Aquos, but it had a lot of weird kinks and issues with it, so they replaced it with a Samsung. Quality is ridiculous, and I like the compatibility with apps like Netflix and MLB.TV. My only major complaint is that the delay on MLB.TV is more pronounced when watching it on the TV. It drops from about 30 seconds on the PC, to about 2 minutes on the TV. That might have more to do with my wireless internet modem, but I don't know for sure. -

Right as I posted this thread, Colby Rasmus was thrown out of the Astros game for "giving the one-finger salute" to an umpire. I'm assuming that can only be a good omen.
