Indeed. I used to think that A-Rod was a lot of what non-Jays fan saw in Bautista. A douche. However he's been a great player, PED's don't give you hall of fame talent, and has been abused greatly by the MLB. My views of him have shifted over the past years and he has become one of my favorite players now.

While I know you are partially joking Sandy Alderson has done a fantastic job of building that team. His only move which I can remember going WTF to was signing Cuddyer. I was hoping the Jays could have snuck him to be the next president, but Shapiro is good too.

I hope the Jays don't play him and wish they'd put him on the DL or didn't have him at all. Family situations can be tough and if its something keeping a guy away from his team during the post season you probably don't want him pitching while its still on his mind.

Nah, apparently the ump said no such thing according to Perez so either Volquez is lying or Perez is as so not to piss off umps. Either way, Royals look dumb in this. Not that it'll be a highlight story or anything.

I am a gambling man BTS. A gambling man. I am betting on the idiots to give Estrada a offer he cannot refuse. If the Jays do not qualify him I wouldn't be upset, I can understand they are more risk averse than I am. I just see this as a situation where Estrada probably is at the peak of his career in terms of hype and will want to bank/go out and see what he can bank on. Will likely be his final MLB contract. With that also being said, I am going to continue to hope that AA/MS can trade Goins for Anderson from the D-backs. A pitcher with a effective change-up goes pretty well against the division.

To be fair, a player who was drafted as a catcher and expected to move to 1B probably shouldn't be out in the LF during a playoff game. Blaming Schwarber there is equivalent to Jays yelling at Bello when he was out in LF. You can't blame a fish for not surviving on land.

I can see Arizona being dumb enough. Probably hear a blip from Stewart about wanting guys that can perform in the post season and say he'd take him over Price in the FA market. While I want to think they aren't dumb, Padres could surprise me.
