  1. Bottom one is Lind?
  2. We lack C and SP, i don't have a problem with Lind staying. Can they take him for another year and trade? He's on a very friendly contract and he's usually pretty good, specially if you platoon him. I don't see why would anyone not want him on their team.
  3. At least we have 2 picks one after the other... Although i would probably prefer having 10 and 11 and not 11 and 12.
  4. Please, give him time.
  5. I'd be happy with number 10 to be honest, our team is too good to tank that much...
  6. That what i think, he seem to have all the basic stuff so all that left is a bit of experience and polishing with Mottola. It's not like Sierra where he may be able to hit but he's such a liability as a fielder that you have no idea what to do with him, even yesterday, our coaches were shocked with him stealing 3rd base.
  7. Sierra is the next David Ortiz, i'm telling you...
  8. Yup, you're right. I'm just trying to imagine if we had picked Mike Trout, would he be the same player he is now?
  9. We suck at developing anyway, doesn't really matter which pick we get.
  10. Not sure if it was said or not, but during the broadcast today Buck asked Alomar about Goins and he said he saw him in Buffalo and was so impressed that he mentioned it to AA and said he should give him a chance in the big league. And just to add to what was said before about his hitting, so far he isn't impressive but he hits the ball hard, he has low K rate and he puts the ball in play, give him some time with Mottola and he might do better, he has the ground work already.
  11. As long as it's not serious, it doesn't really matter, just gives more playing time to Buffalo guys to show what they got.
  12. Davis is probably looking for a multi year deal, he's not getting any younger.
  13. I have a better idea, he can market him as the next David Ortiz and let him play as DH, he can hit but can't field.
  14. Keep Goins, work on C and SP. Should be straight forward. Since Tampa Bay are kinda poor, how come we can't buy their scouts? They obviously know what they are doing when it comes to building talent.
  15. Make it your mission to have them quote you 24/7
  16. BTW, if we sign Ruiz, do we need to give up a draft pick?
  17. He has 0.6 WAR in 2 weeks, that's not too bad. Most of it is from fielding though.
  18. I don't see them giving up Mauer, he's their franchise player. Besides, did you see how much he makes? A lot.
  19. That is what it sounds like from half the people here.
  20. I'm glad you like it but you're missing the point of Izzy and Boni...
  21. I know that 90% of the people here disagree with me but i'm pretty sure we signed Izturis and traded for Bonifacio and even though a blind chicken can find corn from time to time, i prefer our chances with Goins than signing and/or trading for another "great" 2B.
  22. It all depends on how you market him, he's strong, got some pop, looks like he can field sometimes, he's Dominican and was personally taught by EE, Bautista and Reyes.
  23. Haha, i guess not. Sierra IMO shows talent and potential but lacks some serious fundamentals. With some decent September numbers maybe AA can get something for him.
  24. That's no different than what we been talking about for a while now. Unless you mean Sierra but i doubt you do.
  25. Unless we are getting a Cano like, i have no problem sticking with Goins just for his fielding. I won't say the same about the outfield though, AA should market Sierra like he's the next Bautista IMO, it might work.
