  1. Shintaro Fujinami is actively losing games for the Orioles by being put into high leverage while sucking and knowing that he sucks and you have Olerud over here making it seem like this is a 200 IQ genius move by the Orioles.
  2. The Jays have been dicking around Bowden Francis despite a shiny ERA in the MLB and dominating AAA. Optionable mediocre arms exist in every single team across the league. Tyler Wells sucks, lol @ bringing up his W-L record. There's nothing innovative that they're doing. Sure maybe their process these days is good, but it's not like "anything ever seen". In fact it's seen pretty routinely in their own division alone.
  3. LOL @ anything ever seen. Did the Yankees and Rays of the last 10 years not exist? Those teams have routinely gotten elite relievers for scraps (Clay Holmes, Pete Fairbanks, Nick Anderson, Jason Adam, etc.).
  4. Genesis Cabrera struck out Mountcastle. I have full confidence in him to close game 7 of the World Series now.
  5. I read somewhere that he’s apparently had a partially torn UCL since like 2009. It could’ve been a ticking time bomb or it’s possible the cancer treatment and time off from strength training/throwing led to it fully giving out on him into a full tear once he got back to pitching.
  6. Candelario hasn't played 2B a day in his life. Excellent switch hitting 3B starter on the other hand.
  7. Their hitters are really bad. It's basically Jose Ramirez and Josh Naylor. Manzardo is a great get by them, unless Tampa has seen some things in AAA to make them reconsider his status as a valuable hitting prospect (he is 1B only with middling power after all). On the other hand, Cleveland shits out an Aaron Civale type out 4 times per year, they can and likely will easily replace him internally.
  8. And what has player A, Bichette, done the rest of the year? Oh, just be a 3+ win player with 60 games to go. I wonder why people think he's good.
  9. You’re overestimating all of these guys’ velos by 1-2 mph lol. Ironically also forgot Genesis Cabrera who is 95-98.
  10. First pitch out is exactly what we needed to start the 5th.
  11. If you’re gonna troll bait at least do minimal research. The Mets already have an MLB catcher who’s younger than Moreno and better than him at everything.
  12. Berrios is doing well to get out of damage, including timely Ks, but the pitch count is becoming a big problem. Need a couple of quick innings so he can at least give us 6.
  13. It’s Andrew Velazquez, he might as well be a pitcher hitting.
  14. I don’t think automatic outs are hitting 380 foot flyballs often.
  15. It's definitely because of Manoah, Kikuchi, and Manoah's replacement conglomerate. The top 3 are all innings eating workhorses. The only one who routinely gets pulled "too early" is probably Kikuchi and he's always one hitter away from a complete meltdown so it's pretty justified.
  16. See for yourself: https://youtu.be/wxQ02IkEB6o?t=1260
  17. The interest definitely, the price he ended up going for didn’t however.
  18. Good for Bellinger I guess, but talk to me when his xwOBA is within even 20 points of his actual. Lower avg EV, max EV, barrel rate, hard hit rate than Daulton Varsho. Similar LD, GB, FB rates, slightly below but still high IFFB rate. I think his whole offensive performance is a mirage except for maybe his K rate getting back to career norms. The power is gone, regress his BABIP and he comes out looking pretty mediocre. His statcast page is that of a less toolsy Kiermaier lol.
  19. How come? Robert has a reputation as a good defender and the metrics back it up. Exceptional athlete with good instincts, just happens to be injured all the time.
  20. It's laughable how much better the outfield defense is in comparison with just a season ago. Springer looks like Teoscar or Gurriel in comparison to KK and Varsho, and only a year ago he was the only saving grace because those two butchers were his partners on the corners.
  21. Why would the White Sox even want to keep Eloy Jimenez? A 26 year old DH-only who gets injured all the time can only become less valuable the longer you hold on to him. And he's not even left handed to give him a small boost in value.
  22. Nobody is treating Pearson as an asset at this point in time. The stuff is good but every team has 2 or 3 of those guys in their orgs, he’s not a high end reliever as of now, at least until he really hones in his command to get the most out of his stuff.
  23. Moreno isn't even that good of a blocker either, he's only at 1 Blocks Above Average on baseballsavant, 27th in the league. Ol' Kirky on the other hand continues to be a complete vacuum, 2nd in the league with 8 despite not even having as many opportunities as anyone around him. He's an excellent thrower, but that currently appears to be his only measurable plus-plus skill, which certainly isn't a bad one to have, but there's more to catcher defense than throwing out runners.
