  1. Schneider can’t catch up to fastballs at all.
  2. Mason Fluharty doesn’t really do fastballs.
  3. Vlad’s a joke at the plate right now.
  4. If only he didn’t hit everything on the ground :(

  6. This has been a common issue for Francis since he transitioned to the rotation in the back half of last season. He eventually just runs out of gas, the fastball is noticeably slower and he gets shelled. That's fine in the modern game, just get us through 5 solid innings, maybe push a 6th if there's enough of a cushion in the scoreboard like last night. Probably means you'll always need to have the long man ready to follow him as TTO creeps up however.
  7. He's on track to carve himself a nice little career if he keeps it up. Elite defensively at second with previous reps all over the place, good speed, and while I don't think the bat is that legit due to the lack of power, the hit tool appears to play. Probably few teams he gets a chance to prove himself like he has on the Marlins, so it was for the best. He was also brutal in 2023 at AAA so it made sense at the time to let him go. Cool to see guys like him and Griffin Conine sort of stick at the MLB level without being good enough to be actual stars that you don't fully regret giving up on them.
  8. We badly need Berrios to right the ship here, if only to continue keeping the bullpen usage down. A 7 IP start or a rout of the Nats would be terrific so we don't need to use Yimi and/or Hoffman again.
  9. The injury concerns are real, but he’s a 26 year old ace with ace stuff. Elite pitching is extremely hard to come by. If his TJ is behind him, then you hope you have another 4 or so years of elite top of the rotation pitching while he’s young before he breaks as he reaches his 30s again.
  10. The team doesn’t have to pay his salary. He’s also ineligible for the postseason this year.
  11. f*** off, Paul DeJong couldn’t hit s*** when he played for us but he has an excellent AB against Sandlin whose stuff is dancing all over the plate.
  12. At least they’ve been doubles rather than outs like last season. Small wins.
  13. Gimenez definitely beat that but with the initial out call it was hard to overturn it.
  14. “Bowden Francis pitches like a 10 year veteran” He’s like 30, Buck.
  15. Andres Gimenez 7 WAR season confirmed. All it took was batting cleanup.
  16. Nice splitter. Francis looking decent following the walk to James Wood.
  17. Easy to skip the reading comprehension part and bring it back to Ross Atkins suxxx and we're all just homers, irrelevant to the topic at hand.
  18. 4-0 now. They're getting booed already.
  19. The Brewers must just be garbage. Already down 3-0 in the first inning at home against the Royals.
  20. Ross knew what he was doing when he uncharacteristically called out Roden by name at the beginning of Spring. Got his name out to the rest of the baseball world that this was a guy to watch out for, and Roden delivered in a big way. Elite self marketing.
