    He's a baseball player. Every start he gets out there and competes. He understands that sometimes you can't get a whiff from the 9th hitter in the lineup, all you need is attack hitters with strikes and let the defense do the job behind him.

    I feel like that Lukes slide is one of those that might not even have been legal pre rule change. You either slide hard into the bag or you keep your hands to yourself. Throwing out your arm and blocking his leg on the throw is textbook interference.
