  1. We're taking Dylan Carlson, STL.
  2. Our pitching staff was fantastic. Great win.
  3. The umps messed that one up too but holy f*** Teoscar.
  4. Good on the ump to ask for a second opinion from the home plate ump, it's rare you see these guys admitting a mistake like that.
  5. Garbage call, I don't think even David Phelps thought he had that one.
  6. At this point J4L19 is going to be sniping himself on these picks.
  7. One of those smart teams also traded for him, I never understand this kind of reasoning. The Yankees liked him enough to draft him and the Rays liked him enough to acquire him in a pretty big deal. With that said, if Nick Solak is setting the floor for Giles then yikes.
  8. That's true in general but Ottavino is a very good reliever, it's pretty common for him to be downright unhittable at times.
  9. Wat, he has a .219 ISO with 17 HR in 350 PAs.
  10. Probably Wieters but it would be dumn to pass up on him.
  11. If it was intentional he would receive a lengthy suspension. This way they're acknowledging that he didn't mean to injure Lucroy or even necessarily barrel into him but they are punishing his recklessness and deterring any future attempts.
  12. It's the obvious really. He's fat and it affects his mobility. He's garbage at picking up balls near his feet or plays where he's coming in on a ball because he's tripping over himself all the time, and that's a factor of his weight. The arm is an easy plus, and he looks like he has the talent/ability and instincts to be average there, but as it currently stands he's going to continue to be a liability out there as long as he's out of shape.
  13. He kept pointing and bringing up his jaw to the trainer. Not sure if he had a concussion but he was pretty shaken up from it.
  14. They didn't, but they basically traded for Westbrook's durability while CP3 is gonna be making ridiculous amounts of money into his late 30s.
  15. Howard is a nice prospect but he's a pitcher who's not too young for his level whereas Groshans is a potential SS/3B monster who's only trending up.
  16. This is exactly what's happening. He'll obviously be moved at this point, but Stroman has been very petty and childish about the whole situation.
  17. Damn, this guy used to have so much hype. Pitching prospects suck.
  18. I think Others takes this one. Could see the Cubs and Nationals get involved and making a strong push. The Phillies and then Braves are the next two strongest contenders for me.
  19. They do! I think fangraphs' search and updating of MiLB guys is kind of broken so you have to do some digging. If you go to Leaders > Minor League Leaders > Choose League > Filter by Team/MLB Org > Filter by Min PA/IP = 0 you will find all of the players. e.g. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/minor-league?pos=all&lg=13&stats=bat&qual=0&type=0&team=&season=2019&seasonEnd=2019&org=14&ind=0&splitTeam=false&players= Here's some of our guys: Orelvis Martinez https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa3010692&position=3B/SS Philip Clarke https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa3011379&position=C Will Robertson https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa3009879&position=OF Tanner Morris https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa3009873&position=2B/SS Cameron Eden https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa3009883&position=OF LJ Talley https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa1169773&position=2B Angel Camacho https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa1169786&position=3B Glenn Santiago https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa3010341&position=SS Michael Dominguez https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa3011198&position=P You get the idea.
  20. MiLB pick swap between Boxy and I. He gets MiLBs 46, 82, 102 and 103 in return for 43.
  21. I'll be cutting Luken Baker, Mitchell White and have promoted Cal Quantrill whom I'll probably end up cutting in the offseason.
  22. Both players are rookies so this means a lot for Pete Alonso too. Practically two season's worth of salary for either of them.
  23. Thanks for that take grandpa.
