If he's doinking little hits into the outfield his xwOBA is still going to look good, whether that's a skill that he possesses and we should expect that moving forward is a separate issue. He has a .456 BABIP, there's just no sugarcoating that he's been getting incredibly lucky, his avg exit velo is a pretty woeful 87.5 mph. This is for a guy whose scouting report says that he has a poor hit tool but good raw power.
So his success isn't even evidenced by who he's supposed to be as a player, and I'm not really buying that he's made meaningful adjustments to become a better overall hitter, sacrificing power for contact, given his AAA performance. Maybe him cutting his K rate has actually made him worse as a hitter, since he's not looking to do damage as often.
