  1. Schneider needs a AAA stint like nobody’s business.
  2. Bobby Witt Jr. has 13 OAA at SS already. He's lapping the league in defensive value contributed, and as such leads the league in fWAR by a fair margin since he's also an elite baserunner and has a 134 wRC+ which he's actually underperforming based on his xwOBA. Looking at a likely inner circle guy, he's basically infield Mike Trout who just got started a little later.
  3. Piñango has an impressive swing. Line drives for days all over the field.
  4. Any velo or stuff numbers yet?
  5. Better than Basallo.
  6. This would only be true if Heineman looked like he could break replacement level at this point lol. He’s been woeful and isn’t exactly young.
  7. Yeah as things stand he has a 99 wRC+ with excellent defense and a .218 ISO, as a switch hitter. That would be starting calibre for sure. Of course, the projections paint a less rosy picture.
  8. Yesavage to Fluharty to Fisher is absurd in terms of giving hitters different looks. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Mantiply pitch the next inning to continue the trend.
  9. 16-21 is basically just a mediocre stretch that every team goes through at some point in the year. The Rays' series at the Trop was a bummer, but we were in decent shape heading into it, all things considered, with how miserable we've been with injury luck. The Yankees could easily go 15-15 over their next 30 games while we break out. The Rays, despite their devil magic, haven't even rated as a good team, regression is expected to come for them. The second WC team was the other team in the ALCS last year lol. We're fine, lot of season left to go.
  10. The biggest gap in North American professional sports is probably the DSL to full season transition. Literal Latin American teenagers that became professional baseball players at 16/17 now experiencing an insane culture and language barrier shock, with a much higher level of competition.
  11. Okamoto has been fantastic on both sides of the ball during his hot streak.
  12. Off day tomorrow and they're trying to keep the game at 2 here. You don't want the top of their lineup to tack on another when runs have been hard to come by.
  13. Myles Straw has a 50 point lead in ISO on Vlad. Same amount of homers in half the PAs.
  14. Fluharty is their best and only high leverage lefty so he's not going anywhere. Not sure they'd keep him as the only lefty out of the bullpen by optioning Mantiply (who does have an option, at 35 years old, somehow). It's not what anyone wants to hear, but I could see Fisher getting sent down as part of roster/asset management. Nance has been good and projects very well, we'd 100% lose him if we DFA'd him. And Miles obviously has shown promise as a rule 5 guy, doubt they'd want to give him back unless they were able to work out a deal with the Giants.
  15. His stuff just looks so bad that I’m not sure if there’s any good pitches in the tank for him lol. Like yeah unfortunate he hit a ball low for a bomb but that little curve is a hanger by design.
  16. Lauer is throwing 90 with no command. He might just be actual poop at this point.
  17. Bo is not going anywhere with this performance while he's set to make 2/84 the following two years lol.
  18. He kinda just shows up to the dugout and is such a nice guy that nobody has the heart to tell him he can't be there.
  19. With Anthony's arm they definitely sent him on purpose. Made a surprisingly good throw.
  20. Okamoto is so slow lol, rare good throw from Roman Anthony out there. Nice hit from Pinango.
  21. The Red Sox are hitting atom balls all over the place lol. That flyout from Contreras was hit even harder than his HR at 108. xBA of .384
  22. Much better looking velo from Lauer early on. 91-92 on the fastball.
