    You need to learn to not take every post at face value lol. Laika was obviously joking about Kirk being comparable to Juan Soto. He is an exciting hitting prospect, but the comparison to the likely best hitter of the current generation was pretty clearly tongue in cheek.

    We've been super aggressive against him which I understand given that the stuff is excellent and he pounds the strikezone, but the annoying part is how many times they don't even take a pitch in a low pitch count inning and of course giving away outs on the basepaths which could otherwise have increased his pitch count. Our baserunning mistakes are probably responsible for him throwing ~10-15+ fewer pitches.

    This Alfaro AB is guaranteeing that Ryu doesn't pitch in the 7th, and at this rate he might not come out for the 6th either.

    Attaboy Gurriel! That's a great way to make up for your earlier mistake. He's been excellent since he started heating up offensively.

    He was a plus-plus baserunner last year, usually a good one over his career. He's been a negative runner this year though, and his sprint speed is down, maybe he's making the decisions he used to when he was faster but doesn't have that quickness anymore and it's costing him. He is a bad fielder though, what we're seeing from his on defense was probably to be expected.

    Luckily for us Ryu is an ace, but again the pitch count creeps up for no reason.

    The worst thing about these errors is how much it drives up our starting pitcher's pitch count. Ryu could have been out of this inning with under 20 pitches thrown.
