  1. Hatch is all over the place. Was lucky that Harper bailed him out.
  2. Vlad is just not having a good time out there. That was as routine as a first baseman's pick gets.
  3. 111.7 mph EV. Unreal power.
  4. Wow Teoscar is a monster. Ridiculous power to all fields.
  5. Bo might have missed a homerun by a couple of inches. At least the weird bounce went his way so he ends up at third anyway.
  6. Few hitters will benefit more from robo umps than Cavan Biggio.
  7. 6 solid innings. Ryu and Walker really saving the pitching staff, need the bats to keep responding.
  8. Davis appears to be significantly better than Alford. Good for him, hopefully he keeps contributing and earns himself a roster spot going forward.
  9. Panik's wRC+ has eclipsed league average. Where are the Montoyo haters now that complained every time he was in the lineup?
  10. Jesus Christ. Imagine saying this with a straight face.
  11. And Vlad does it again, he just chased a ball into second base.
  12. Clearly he wanted Jansen to advance Espinal because he fully knew Cavan would come through next AB. Once again Charlie is 3 steps ahead of us mere mortals.
  13. What the f*** was that? Can we stop bunting with our f***ing catchers please? Ridiculous.
  14. Third time through the order stays undefeated.
  15. Third time through the order strikes again.
  16. There's nothing wrong with Flaherty. He's missed a lot of time due to covid related reasons, but his velocity is intact, swinging strikes are identical, and his K/BB ratio is similar if only slightly worse than it was last year. His xFIP (incoming Boxy rant) and by extension xFIP- is actually even slightly better than it was last year. He was always unlikely to come close to repeating his second half performance from last season which had significant batted ball luck, unless he actually got better which is certainly possible given his age and talent level, but unlikely in a season like this one. I don't think Wainwright has actually been their best pitcher (a .228 BABIP in a small sample size will make a lot of pitchers look good) though certainly the most reliable, and I agree he's fun to watch. In his prime he was an ace in a team that consistently went deep into the playoffs.
  17. Try a top 2 pitcher in baseball, and he's not 2.
  18. deGrom got injured his last start and raised his ERA unfortunately, which might take him out of the running if the Mets are careful with him down the stretch. With that said, if he does end up winning a 3rd Cy Young and ages somewhat gracefully he's a lock for the HoF. He needs to not pull a Joan Santana basically. I think if he secures a 3rd Cy Young then he'll be a lock if he passes the 50 WAR mark.
  19. Joe Panik putting in professional ABs even in blowouts.
  20. Despite all of the Yankees homeruns, the top 3 EV in this game have come from Blue Jays hitters.
  21. Yeah I don't disagree, but someone still needs to eat the rest of those innings.
  22. They can throw Pearson in the rotation all they want but he's probably not good for more than 3 innings at a time tops anyway.
  23. I'm not defending Roark because he does suck, but in this situation he gave up a f***ing garbage homerun that isn't out literally anywhere else.
  24. Giles does not look good at all. The stuff is much worse than it's been throughout his Blue Jays tenure.
