At this point the question has to be thrown out there. Vlad Jr. might be the best hitter the Blue Jays have ever had? He's going to be competing with our best offensive seasons ever as a 22 year old.
Maybe whenever he stops pitching every 5-6 days? If you're going to play Ohtani in the field and limit his throwing it can pretty much only be at first base.
He's been slapping at so many pitches too, lost Stripling a bunch of potential strikes. Can't wait for Gruber to tell me that Danny Jansen can't frame the low pitch because he doesn't have a closed stance.
I'd say Jansen has good ABs, even draws his fair share of walks, his biggest problem is he goes on stretches where he's swinging a pool noodle at the plate.
