  1. McGuire is having an absolutely awful game behind the dish.
  2. If Manoah is to be a big league starter he needs to have a working breaking ball. He's not going to suddenly discover his feel for the slider if he's not throwing it in games in big spots.
  3. Disgusting slider to Moncada followed up with a nice fastball inside that jammed him. Perfect sequence.
  4. God f***ing damnit McGuire. I think he could be out still but that was a f***ing awful tag.
  5. That pitch was so nasty he may have actually injured him.
  6. Tell me more about McGuire being some defensive savant gruber. He's looked awful behind the dish the past couple of games.
  7. At this point you might as well call up any reliever from AA and AAA with a pulse and DFA all of these bums lol.
  8. Half the current bullpen is DFA'd waiver claims, it's definitely one of the worst.
  9. Literally everyone is hurt, and the ones that aren't pitch every day. It was bound to turn into hot garbage.
  10. Grandal is one of the slowest players in the league. A groundball to third could see us getting out of the inning.
  11. Can't wait for people to complain about Thornton coming out of the pen, regardless of how this inning ends, as if we should have sent out Ryu to the mound or something.
  12. That was the prototypical Dolis outing. Pure stress, takes forever, pitches going all over the place but the stuff is good enough to ultimately come out of it unscathed.
  13. When have you ever seen a guy not react at all after getting hit in the hand? These umpires are something else.
  14. That's literally the perfect pickoff throw, Madrigal didn't have to move his glove.
  15. Oh man, Vladdy hasn't missed pitches like that very often this season.
  16. Robbie Ray has some truly absurd stuff going on this game.
  17. Meh, both can be true to some extent. Jansen hasn't shown he has above average hitting talent potential but he's also likely been unlucky in his career with the batted balls he has put into play. The projections still view him as just a tick below league average offensively. His batted ball profile probably indicates he's more of a .250 xBABIP guy than the .223 he has in his career.
  18. It's really not that marginal. Jansen is the better hitter and defender, and the splits difference isn't what you might think it is. Jansen has been much better against RHP than LHP in his career and McGuire literally cannot hit lefties.
  19. Jansen is clearly better than McGuire even with an abysmal start to the season.
  20. Adams takes some mighty hacks. It was only a matter of time before he drove one. Love his dad in the Canadians uniform.
  21. Closer to being down the middle than to being a ball lol.
