  1. It’s not like any of the three already out there are bad defenders.
  2. Well it’s not like Abreu is coming in as a random middle relief option, he’s arguably their best reliever. He came in to limit the damage and keep the Astros in it. It’s like if the Jays had brought in Swanson in the same spot.
  3. Feels like Varsho has had no luck lately. Good ABs, solid line drives but not much to show for it.
  4. Great ABs by everyone this inning.
  5. Feels like Bassitt had Bregman totally guessing that AB.
  6. Moreno has a 40 wRC+ with a sub .100 ISO if anyone is wondering.
  7. Kirk is already putting on a clinic at the bottom of the zone.
  8. This is the most reliever thing ever. Credit to the Phils of course if they actually did find the formula for fixing him, but colour me a bit skeptical that he won't randomly go back to walking 6/9 either by midseason or next year seemingly out of nowhere.
  9. High risk/high reward signing for both parties, which probably means it's a fair deal for both sides.
  10. This is a favourable matchup for us if anything. Bassitt is better than Urquidy, his first few starts of 2023 notwithstanding.
  11. As he should. He’s been mostly fine since the ghastly first, might as well tough it out for 5-6 innings and save some arms for the rest of the series.
  12. Belt has some really good ABs, if his batspeed/timing catches up to his approach he’ll yet be a valuable contributor for us this season.
  13. At his age there's the likely chance his body is just done and he can't even handle the load of a full season, let alone also being able to perform at anywhere near Joey Votto like levels. His 2022 season had some very glaring red flags that might signal he's done.
  14. Votto is 4 years older than Belt (will be 40 next season), with a worse injury history, and understandably projects worse. Love Votto, he should cruise into the HOF (hopefully if the voters aren't idiots), but I'd really rather not have him be a Blue Jay when he's one foot into retirement.
  15. Great baserunning again by Varsho, those 90 feet are big.
  16. Buck talking about the Jays running the contact play, the bases are loaded…if Chapman doesn’t run home on contact they force him out lol.
  17. Bo taking over from Biggio as the former MLB’ers son getting killed by brutal calls.
  18. Nicely done Mayza, he’s getting back into the circle of trust with his last few outings.
  19. Lightning cat Kirk with the quick reflexes and athleticism.
  20. Zero chance you don’t own this guy in fantasy if you’re bringing up his W-L record.
  21. Can’t blame Espinal too much there. He made a reactionary play, and obviously you’re not just gonna let the guy go home there. Smart read from Rogers the catcher at third to go back to the bag.
  22. Two garbage hit balls and everyone is safe, that’s frustrating.
